    Pros

Fun work, interesting product, overall good coworkers.

    Cons

Management doesn't seem to care much about the production floor as long as management gets the results they want.

    Pros

room to move around the company co workers are great

    Cons

Pay and leadership are both severely lacking. There is a reason why the company has kept doing poorly after multiple owners. The management always stays the same

    Not Good

    Pros

Production personnel are fantastic to work with

    Cons

Extremely poor management. Due to the same COO being there every time it has gone under (3 times now) it isn't likely to get any better. It just went under with Setouchi Holdings (Japanese Co.) and was sold again to Daher (French Co.). All of the knowledgeable people quit and moved to other companies. No room for growth.

    Terrible Management

    Pros

Steady work, pay on time, and looks better on a resume than making salad dressing.

    Cons

A team of management from upper to lower that fosters the illusion of one big happy family while having there own private Christmas party this year. The same management that tells it's people that what they due is not important for the company. Upper management that is old and just waiting for retirement. Bonuses for management and sales only. Pay is far below industry standard for the Aviation Industry. Job promotion is based more on whining, hanging out with the managers outside of work, or flirting. Small raises if any for the people that make the aircraft and the people that keep the building running.

    Pros

A lot of good things are happening. Things are most definitely trending in the right direction.

    Cons

A lot of good people who have good intentions are still stuck in the past.

    Great People; Management Challenges

May 22, 2018 - Anonymous Employee in Sandpoint, ID

    Pros

There are some amazing people who give everything to the product and the company. Additionally, it was pretty amazing working in a great location and the aviation industry (an impossible nexus to duplicate!).

    Cons

If you're not one of the favorites of management, the deck is stacked against you. No opportunity for advancement and unrealistic goals are problems in every department. Pay tends to be on the low side, despite the local community being a resort town, with the cost-of-living to match.

    QA Inspector

    Pros

Quest is an exciting young company that is starting to be noticed in Aviation circles. There is a sub-culture of down-to-earth Christian folks who really want to make a difference in the world. The Sandpoint, ID area is nothing short of breathtaking. It is listed as one of the most beautiful small towns in America.

    Cons

Unfortunately, being located in North Idaho, the average wage is significantly under the industry average. Quest has a very difficult time recruiting and maintaining qualified employees. The company is also very "production oriented" and it puts a great deal of burden on the QA department and Engineering to insure that production schedules are met--instead of focusing on quality first. There is nothing illegal, but there is tremendous amount of pressure on the QA Department to bend to the will of Production.

    Great people, uncertain business future.

    Pros

Some really wonderful and talented people work at Quest and the Sandpoint region is beautiful to live in. Japanese ownership has brought some financial stability and much needed investment along with some new market opportunities.

    Cons

Poor management has led to a lot of turnover in all areas, from the office to the shop floor. The reasons vary from low wages to lack of respect and lack of advancement opportunities but it makes for a pretty stressful environment. Some very key people left or were fired in 2017, there doesn't seem to be a management strategy to recruit, retain or develop talent. Coupled with a lack of vision and product development makes me concerned for the future of the companies and the many hardworking employees.
