I worked at Quest Diagnostics full-time

    Pros

You have a job. Some co-workers are nice.

    Cons

Management has no people skills. No work ethics. Poor quality of life.

    Advice to Management

Enroll in a leadership class. Like one where you can come out with an Associates Degree before you are allowed to "manage" and lead people.

I worked at Quest Diagnostics full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Loads of OT, which is nice pay

    Cons

Loads of mandatory overtime, so there is no time for kids or life outside of a terrible job. ALL breaks are monitored, be prepared to be questioned about them. This job was so stressful due to ridiculous monitoring of your activities even when you were over the required production. I would not recommend to my worst enemy

I worked at Quest Diagnostics full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    It is a job.

    Cons

Supervisors have very little management training. They are unfair and only interested in what benefits them. Low pay, Not enough opportunities for advancement. Moral is always low among employees. Benefits are horrible. You are often allowed to work sick because of being afraid of being fired or written up. Management will not keep personal information to themselves.

    Advice to Management

    Change

    Pros

Health benefits available since day 1 and accrue PTO and sick time right away.

    Cons

Ran like a production factory. A lot of inexperienced staff doing the training and in management (Supervisor team) Required to work 2 hours overtime every shift.

    Advice to Management

Be the voice for your team. Treat your employees as a team and speak for them to upper management.

Everyone else will have to work hard
Difficult to get a day off approved

    Pros

The co-workers I've met that's about it! There was no pros working here what so ever. Very disappointing at the lee Summit location. Stay at the one in Lenexa,Ks

    Cons

The lee Summit,mo location is very strict vs. the Lenexa location I love the atmosphere there. Switched locations because lee Summit was closer to home. The pay is too little to where u can't even think about getting benefits if you wanted to. There's favoritism and no help what so ever when your done with training. The trainer was great but it's after the fact the leads and supervisors gossip 24/7 there's family members working there in higher management she's only nice to her daughter. Lee Summit needs to be revamped 100% it ridiculous over there I hated it

    Advice to Management

    You suck.

I have been working at Quest Diagnostics full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Actual non management workers over the age of 30 are a delight. All other will stab you in the back while smiling at you.

    Cons

One of the worst companies I've had the displeasure to work for. I've never seen so much discontent for employees and management openly being inappropriate. No wonder they have so many lawsuits against them.
