I worked at Quest Diagnostics full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Some of the staff has the team work ethic

    Cons

Disorganized, HR doesn't help or take anything seriously

    Advice to Management

You really should audit and keep a close eye on the supervisors and some management. If everyone is having an issue with the same person then maybe it might be that individual but because they are management they can't make mistakes or be wrong.

I have been working at Quest Diagnostics full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Training training training! A lot to be learned from this company and please be open minded. The training may seem like a lot, but be patient. This company has poured a lot into the training program and you can take these skills anywhere.

    Cons

The Greater Chicagoland management staff is a joke! They reward bad behaviors including management that has been turned into HR and ultimately a financial settlement took place. It’s a good old boy club, if you are liked you are all right. If not, look out even if you have talent.

Management really needs to take a look at territories that naturally produce and people are getting paid for having no talent. Quit hiring from outside the organization and promote from within. Stop worrying about the 100% club because the industry is in such an uproar your sales team can’t control attrition. You have talented people look around and don’t make the statement when people leave “we will just trade up”

    Advice to Management

Revamp the whole thing and quit hiring Big Pharma for management. This is laboratory and it’s a completely different beast.

I have been working at Quest Diagnostics full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Consistent hours, great co workers, good team lead, easy to call out when needed. Vacation and sick time when needed.

    Cons

Awful upper management, changes to company frequent. Sick time is taken away when you don't want to use it. Too much on our plate.

    Advice to Management

Stop making so many changes to our job. We have enough on our plate, when I first started working it wasn't bad , but over the year there's been hundreds of changes to how we do our job

    Pros

Time off is average at best.

    Cons

Inconsistent polices that apply to some people and not others. Management expects above and beyond without recognition, or even a thank you, nevermind pay that is appropriate for the amount of work. Constantly understaffed.

    Advice to Management

Recognize hard work. Staff properly. Make policies consistent company wide.

    Pros

Great pay and meet some awesome people

    Cons

Upper management does not care about its employees . You will be worked to the bone . TOP time and sick time are all the same not two different accruals . You have to borrow time to take vacation . No maternity leave . Snow emergencies don't apply but understandable . Only hear the bad you do vs the good most times .

    Advice to Management

APPRECIATE YOUR WORKERS AND STOP WONDERING WHY PPL LEAVE OR DONT COME TO WORK . STOP EXPECTING MIRACLES WHEN NO ONE SEES YOU COMING TO HELP PROCESS 35-37000 PATIENTS A NIGHT .
