I have been working at Quest Diagnostics full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

I have working as a Route Service Rep (lab courier) for 3 years. Quest treats its employees fairly and -- at least in my experience -- makes extra efforts to accomodate their employees (for example, adjusting an employee's schedule to meet his needs). Pay isn't great, but Quest is a stable company. Uniforms are supplied; the employee has a choice as to which Quest clothing items he/she wants to wear.

    Cons

Pay is low for the San Francisco Bay area.

I worked at Quest Diagnostics full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Good training; decent orientation; nice co-workers; good benefits.

    Cons

Foul language from management; low pay compared to competitors; mandatory 6-day work weeks that still barely get you over 30 hours a week; having 30 minutes deducted every day for meal breaks you never get to take; very poor HR call center with inconsistent answers to questions; management has their favorites while ignoring others; sending drivers out in very dangerous weather no matter what.

I have been working at Quest Diagnostics full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Benefits are good, better than most for new employees. Hours are pretty steady and overtime isn't required a lot.

    Cons

Management is horrible, last-minute meetings I have to be in early for, no place to park without a long walk, we definitely feel like the expendable department no one cares about. I mean it really isn't any different than most corporate jobs, but be prepared to be treated like a 5-year-old. Benefits are great, and the pay is better than most jobs that don't require a degree but it comes with few raises. Not a whole lot of ways to move up either. A lot of people at the bottom rung with very few slots above without relocating.
