I have been working at Questar Gas full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

I've worked here for more than 8 years and I can say that the pay, for not requiring a degree is good. I can't think of another place where a high school graduate can earn as much as the people here make. The benefits are pretty good and they have an annual incentive program. You get plenty of personal time off.

    Cons

The company is a little "top heavy" meaning that they have too many bosses overlooking your every move, but not to the point that makes you want to quit your job. There are times when you have to work on-call, holiday's, nights, and weekends because they are a 24 hour company.

I have been working at Questar Gas full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Great benefits, steady job, great coworkers.

    Cons

Pay isn't competitive compared to pipeline industry.

I have been working at Questar Gas full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Questar has some great benefits they offer to employees, plus they are a stable business. Who could go wrong working for a utility?

    Cons

The company touts themselves as being progressive and they "talk the talk" but don't "walk the walk." If you are not part of the Good 'ol Boys club, then you won't go anywhere, females included.

    Advice to Management

Women in the workforce create balance-lots of studies prove this.

  4. "Very Corporate, but Good Atmosphere Nonetheless"

I have been working at Questar Gas part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

good pay, benefits, all and all it is what one would expect from a large corporate job. Also flexibility with PTO is nice, probably because they are a state granted monopoly and are allowed to recover all prudently incurred costs.

    Cons

The atmosphere is very corporate and conservative. If you are a conservative mormon, you will be in the majority, if you are a liberal, non-religious person, there doesn't seem to be much tolerance.
