I worked at Questrade full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    -Breaks.
    -Convenient location to TTC.
-Lots of amenities in the lobby.
    -Friendly enough coworkers.

    Cons

    -Inadequate training
    -Uninspiring senior staff
-Supervisors that spend more time on smoke breaks than coaching. Your staff shouldn't have to run around for help when a customer is waiting.
-If you're new you can expect to be taking all the calls at the end of the night with no back up b/c all other senior staff are gone and you receive no OT b/c you're salaried.
-Knowledge base (their encyclopedia for the role) is awful at best!
-Co workers who aren't in leadership roles micro managing and juvenile.
-They undervalue superstar employees and are dismissive of recognition.
-One or two people call in sick and the que gets slammed

    Advice to Management

-Either promote superstar employees or tell them they have no hope.
-Have more coaching with new staff.
-Hire more than 6 ppl at a time!

I have been working at Questrade as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great environment, lovely corporate culture full of young people with great ideas.
Workplace is very accepting of different cultures, backgrounds and open to your ideas on how they can improve.

Plenty of room to learn new things working alongside other team members/supervisors

    Cons

Not much to mention for the cons. Everything is great but maybe communication as to what changes are happening around the company would be something to appreciate.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you're doing. Lots of things have changed recently and for the better. A young positive workforce at QT is one of the best things you have.

I have been working at Questrade full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Easy to get hired, they hire about 10 new people every 3 months due to the high turnover.

    Cons

Very low salary (less the industry average), limited benefits, no opportunity for advancement, every time a position opens the whole company applies to it.

    Advice to Management

A great company retains its employees, a mediocre company has high turnover, no wonder you're losing clients

I have been working at Questrade full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Trying to get with technologies. This is nobble effort however there should be more professional approach and less talking around.

    Cons

Nobble effort has to have management support. Management take long time, try to save money and indeed spend them with no good reason.

    Advice to Management

Less talk more job. Too many presentations and lots of plays instead of acting. Presentation of 3 hours is complete waste of time.
