I worked at Quicken Loans full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

-Amazing company culture. Very anti-corporate, all of my leaders had an open door policy, were typically willing to listen to me.
    -Great benefits
    -Great income potential
-What you make is based on a blend of your natural talent and what you put into it. They give you the tools to be successful if you keep an open mind and are willing to learn.
-Team-oriented approach, great support systems in place.

    Cons

-Hours. They're up front with you about how much you'll be working, so you shouldn't be shocked, but talking about it is very different than actually working 50-60 hours a week, typical 6 days out of 7. You can get burned out fast.
-Since it's sales, most of your income is based on your own performance. It's important to be aware of up front in case that's not for you ( I loved it)
-They have aggressive sales goals for you. Not unobtainable, and not unfair, but you've got to be willing to work hard and put in the hours.
-Sometimes the pressure to "put in the hours" can be pretty strong, even when you've worked past the point of efficiency. Typically not in your face, but definitely an "oh, you're leaving already?" vibe that can be off-putting.

    Advice to Management

Lighten up on hours. I loved working there, and I really didn't want to leave, but it was too difficult for me to balance work and family, and when push came to shove I had to pick family.

I have been working at Quicken Loans full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

You can switch jobs every 6 - 9 months...they actually encourage you to do it. Working downtown Detroit is pretty fantastic. Company provides good benefits. This is a perfect place for someone who is young and just starting out in the business world. Quicken Loans ALWAYS puts the client first. They are the best at what they do and can do it fast.

    Cons

Days are very long, and depending which job you have, the bonus may not be very good. The only way to make a decent income is to make an hour wage with a bonus. The company works you hard and is always on your heels to produce. Some days it feels like our best is never good enough.

    Advice to Management

Management does a good job and makes the experience fun. They do what they are told to do just like any other business and pass the information on. I wish the company would realize you have to make the employees happy in order to make the clients happy.

I worked at Quicken Loans full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

quality computers, chairs, and some interesting event for employees.

    Cons

While some may feel the "progressive" work environment to be appealing or "fun", I found it to be very inauthentic and distracting. Quicken likes to portray a work environment similar to that of Google, this is not the case here. Management styles are very old-school and rigid, and all of the color, and fun looking work stations are just for show. This lures in mostly 20-something employees that haven't quite figured this out yet. My advice, find a better place to work cause I guarantee they are out there. Also the pay is below average (again, luring in the 20-somethings). Bottom line: riding a scooter down the hallway while passing by disapproving higher-ups does not make this a great place to work. It makes it fake.

    Advice to Management

Be real, and cut the fluff. Be progressive managers, and skip all of the other crap.
