I worked at Quicken Loans full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Tons of opportunity for advancement and growth both personal and professional. Compensation is very good, easily 6 figures for mortgage bankers after the first year. Team leaders and management are genuinely invested in your success and the culture is one of caring about your clients. I honestly would never work for another mortgage company because QL honestly has a culture through and through of conservative lending and responsible business.

    Cons

Long hours, expect to be pushed to achieve higher and higher sales goals. 1 weekend day a month is required but if you are behind pace for goal you should expect to work more. I often remoted in from home to access client files and help clients looking at homes during the weekend.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you're doing and take over the mortgage industry!

I have been working at Quicken Loans as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Amazing culture, overall great place to work.

    Cons

Everything is very siloed, very hard to work across business areas sometimes and you'll learn about a new area you knew nothing about all the time.

I worked at Quicken Loans as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Lots of hands on experience. Free food, free passes to all of the festivals, free parking, lots of opportunities to tour downtown. There's community service almost every week you can do as well. The people that you work with are very embracing, you'll begin to forget you're an intern sometimes.

    Cons

An internship doesn't guarantee you a job there. Trust me, I know. At the end of the day, it's a call center, just more colors. The internship is fairy tale land compared to what life is like as an actual team member. Oh and once I heard my team lead ranting about me and another intern. The team members had to call and let me know (yes we became so close we had each others numbers). Said it was so unprofessional for her to do and they felt sorry for me that she was in the office swearing.

    Advice to Management

Look into the departments and make sure that you have good leads to handle your interns.

I have been working at Quicken Loans (More than a year)

    Pros

The company creates a platform for you to make an outrageous amount of money. The best thing, however, is the culture. The culture is so strong those that come into Quicken Loans that do not believe in the culture, stick out like a sore thumbs.

    Cons

Work too many hours. There is no such thing as a work/life balance--all work and no play.

    Advice to Management

I honestly do not have anything bad to say about management as most are there to help you achieve your financial goals.

I worked at Quicken Loans as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great company culture. Really wanted us interns to experience everything in the company and Detroit

    Cons

Seems like many offices over-hired interns, so there wasn't always a lot of work to go around.

    Advice to Management

Continue with the program. Awesome Experience
