    Pros

Opportunity to explore, learn a new thing!

    Cons

So many changes which are not helping Team members to be the focus on a specific area and grow! Salary and benefits are ok but not great the way company is growing and earning! Some new leaders are not engaged because of they are not skills in the area they are leading!

I worked at Quicken Loans as an intern

    Pros

At QL they give you the opportunity to literally shadow anyone within Quicken Loans and the family of companies. This is a great place to have a first internship. They are really looking for fresh eyes and want all of the advice they can get from interns!

    Cons

I personally have no complaints about my experience as an intern.

I worked at Quicken Loans full-time

    Pros

The culture and environment that Quicken Loans provides is unlike anything i've ever experienced before. Quicken Loans truly promotes an environment that is catered to its employees and helping them succeed.

    Cons

Some people may complain about the long and rigorous hours that are required to be a successful banker at Quicken Loans.

    Advice to Management

Continue running competitions, contests, and countdowns. This was an awesome part of working with Quicken and also boosted production a significant amount.

I have been working at Quicken Loans full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    -learning experience
    -flat organization structure
    -growth potential
    -competitive pay
    -fun culture for some
    -invests in its people
    -amazing benefits
    -great locations
    -top of the line training

There are hundreds more. I have never worked in a company that actually cares about its people and it's image. The pros outweigh the cons. You will get burnt out eventually. Typically after 2 years. But you'll either love the company or hate it. If you love it you can switch into other roles. If not make you can try it on your own.

    Cons

-culture can seem a little young
-for bankers pay to start is a joke but you're getting paid to study. Afterwards it gets much better.
-typical expected hours is 7am-9pm weekdays.
    -leaders play favorites

You may be asked to come in some weekends. Primarily Saturdays. However that's for half days and usually can close a sale or two.

Previously the company back in 04-07 was known for employees that bought Audi sport cars, apartments downtown and lots of drugs. Now it's primarily alcohol with muscle cars. If you are not into the drinking after hours just don't take part. Company loves individuality.

    Advice to Management

Continue to allow employees voices to be heard via cheese. Perhaps have a more direct path for leadership training instead of favorites only based on goals met.

Offer career mentorship and perhaps women empowerment in the corporate workplace training.

Keep communication channel open and structure flat.

The shuttle situation is a little ridiculous. We need more garages.

Frankly there is no possible way to fix the inherent issues of the company. It is not the company's fault bankers stay late since it's compensation based income.

I worked at Quicken Loans as an intern

    Pros

    Open door policy
    Great training
Fun Environment - slushy machines, espresso machines, snack bar, ping pong, golf, so many fun things to do if you just need to take a break.
    Friendly staff
Intern outings with upper management are well planned and fun for all.

    Cons

    Distance to QL
The intern position I had was based on hitting a daily quota so it was hard to go and shadow different areas within the company.

    Advice to Management

At the very beginning of the internship, allow the interns to see a preview of each of the different areas of the company and from there, allow them to intern for the position that best suits them.
