I worked at QuikTrip part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Could work part-time, you would learn ALOT about inventory, shipments and how retail works.

    Cons

Alot of multi-tasking while running around, not a job for anyone who is older than 25, you can only work part-time unless you move into management but once you move into management you are treated poorly and have to work at whatever store they tell you to, for whatever amount of time.

    Advice to Management

There is a revolving door of employees and not many stick around which leads to an old-timer vs everyone else attitude. My advice is to please be nicer to new employees, especially new management. I feel like the older management (while getting amazing benefits) are so burned out that they are eager to place a ton of responsibility and attitude on the new management.

I have been working at QuikTrip part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good pay, possibility of bonuses, and possibility of flexibility with schedule. Coworkers are helpful and willing to share advice about the company.

    Cons

Not guaranteed multiple hours or a flexible schedule. Sometimes managers do not respect clerks as they should be respected. Very fast paced and not for everyone.

I have been working at QuikTrip part-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

I have spent 5 years with this company as a part-time clerk I would like to share my insight with the company. This company provides a lot of room for growth and skills that can be utilized in future careers or positions with the company.

I loved many of the employees I worked with and developed a close bond with the people that are there, and QuikTrip is somewhat picky on the employees that they hire.

The pay and benefits are pretty good for the retail/convenience store industry, such as vacation pay (2 years for part-timers to obtain), bonuses, and pay. It's difficult to find a part-time job that provides incentives and pay that QuikTrip does. Staying with the company for a long period of time certainly exposes you to a lot of things that QuikTrip provides. Managers and full-timers are making great pay that are comparable to those that have a college degree job.

Pretty flexible with my schedule to accommodate school schedule, and personal time.

Being a fast paced job can certainly make time pass by throughout the shift, and you quickly develop a habit of constantly keeping yourself busy.

    Cons

    - The location of your store and managers can make or break your experience with the company. As much as this company tries to stay in uniform with expectations and duties across all stores, there are certainly differences in the way a store is handled based on managers preferences which can mess you up when you work between different stores. (Ex. some managers are more nit picky on certain things while others aren't)

    - The company tries to minimally staff their employees and push you to work harder so they can cut costs of paying so many employees.

    - You do not get breaks, if you want to eat, you can do so when the store is in good shape but may have to stop eating if things start to pick up or get busy again.

    - Working for the company can quickly burn you out, especially with the number tasks and duties that are being added since their shift towards focusing on food service with little to no compensation over stress load that is continuously being added.

    Advice to Management

    - Keep an eye out for employees that state they wish to move up, as some of those who are working very hard never seem to accomplish it, especially with managers who are biased about their employees. You notice a lot of managers have their favorites.

    - Stop treating extra relief clerks like they're expendable, I notice that when an extra clerk is scheduled at a store, managers just use them to do tasks that nobody else is comfortable doing and expect them to put up with it.

I have been working at QuikTrip part-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

After having worked with QT for 5 years, I really only have good things to say for the most part. They're great at working around your schedule for clerks, pay is competitive, and the company really seems to care about its employees

    Cons

Assistant manager schedules are pretty terrible initially. And some customers can be a pain, but you'd get that anywhere

I worked at QuikTrip part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great benefits if you're full time, Fast paced work, Er is a terrific change of pace seeing new stores everyday

    Cons

Part time pay ist enough to pay for your benefits and live, Managers ONLY care about their stores performance so they reap huge bonuses, Clerks recieve 0 incentives to go on ER except a 1.50 raise while managers get a stack bonus for every clerk of theirs on ER, You will stay a clerk if you're more useful under a managers foot(raising store score, ect) , ER will have you put up to 300 miles a week on your vehicle and wear and tear is on your dime.

    Advice to Management

The store managers are running a racket on the part timers, Company seriously needs some new blood leading the stores.
