I worked at QuikTrip part-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Pays pretty well. Tuition reimbursement. More than enough hours to go around. Room to move up within the company. Stock options.

    Cons

No breaks ever. Worked there almost 10 years and never had a break. Always moving. Never ending stream of tasks to do can get overwhelming. You'll get used to it. Having breaks at jobs I've had since I left QT just seem like a waste of time.

    Advice to Management

Supervisors need to treat store employees more as equals. Train managers to trust their employees and stop micromanaging.

I have been working at QuikTrip full-time

    Pros

The pay is good for not having a bachelor's degree.

    Cons

There are no breaks, and the schedule is rough. The way the company schedule's shifts, pretty much doesn't allow you to have a life.

    Advice to Management

Stop with the politics, and listen to your employees

I have been working at QuikTrip part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Monthly profit bonus, referral bonuses, they keep employees very informed on what they're doing and planning to do.

    Cons

"Customer is always right" gets in the way of employee's comfort. And they are too worried about "keeping the customers business" even if the customer is repeatedly doing wrong every time they come in

    Advice to Management

Don't be afraid to confront customers and stand up for you and your employees. I'd rather have a little fewer honest customers than lots of customers that knowingly steal and make a scene every time they come in, knowing they get away with it.

I have been working at QuikTrip part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great pay, bonuses, and flexible hours.

    Cons

No breaks, like other jobs their are the lazy co-workers, and managers that do not know how to manage.

    Advice to Management

At least a 15min break to eat something and get some energy for the next rush of customers.
