Stellar company that cares about you as an employee and invests in your growth

      Pros

Have been working at QuinStreet for a little under two years and I've had a very positive experience overall. Great work/life balance. Manager/Upper management cares about my growth. Steps to move up the career path are very clear. Be communicative about what you want/how you should do better and speak to your manager often so you are clear as to how to achieve your goals. Great place to learn about the industry and have a very hands on approach. People with great work ethic and who care about the success of their team and the company will excel here. The people they hire are all really great people to work with. Everyone is very nice and kind.

      Cons

It feels like the team your in determines how fast you move up. I've seen other teams with people who work very hard not be given the promotions they very much deserve. No 401k match.

      Leaders don't lead

      Pros

      - good work/life balance - can WFH when needed - good opportunity to learn if you want to - great place to start a career

      Cons

Employees have either been here 10 years or 1 year. High turnover rate due to the senior management having the mentality of "we've been doing it this way for years and it works fine". Not much room to change/update processes and practices. Old technology and laptops. Everything seems rushed to be completed to start generating revenue. Which causes many problems in the building process that only get band-aids once pushed live. Recruiting, HR and admin push "fun" activities but only they partake. Verticals are extremely segregated. The edu team has absolutely no idea what the financial services team does.

Renewed perspective; though still a negative experience

      Pros

      - A *respectful* work environment - as I've gone on in my professional career, I see how important it is to work at a place that at least gives employees a comfortable environment to work in. - Work / life balance completely intact.

      Cons

      - Management at the time was ignorant to a great majority of digital trends, yet still demanded total obedience. Any challenges to the status quo were seen as direct hits to the ego. - Largely felt no sense of contribution (and therefore growth). Operations jobs I've held since put greater import on how the role fits into the greater organization, whereas ZD had no sense of what that could mean to an employee.

      Pros

      - Opportunity to grow within the company as long as you have an open communication with your manager - A lot of opportunity for ownership - Ability to gain a well rounded experience - Smaller teams, more 1 on 1 time with your manager - Best people, more than co workers - Flexible hours - Great work life balance - Company events (day aways, halloween, holiday parties, etc.)

      Cons

      - Need more team building events throughout the company, not just certain teams

great place if you're looking for a work life balance and like working among smart people

      Pros

People are very nice. You can achieve a work life balance. If you work hard you will be recognized. It's a "tech' company culture but large enough to have its formalities.

      Cons

The work is not intellectually rigorous and most folks are essentially in sales. You're either managing clients, publishers, or campaigns which require good people and strategic thinking skills. Its hard to stay challenged and excited when life becomes mundane.

Good place for college grads to get online marketing experience

      Pros

Smart folks, CEO well-liked and respected, good work-life balance, young, eager recent grads will learn a lot about corporate culture and digital marketing.

      Cons

Unfocused. High turnover, mass layoffs/restructuring, not innovative, still grasping at for-profit education marketing dollars instead of branching out into new growing markets.

      Pros

Very flexible with work life balance. Open environment. Solid and reliable employees that are smart, proactive and fun to work with. Hard work and execution of projects are recognized and rewarded. Very relaxed working environment.

      Cons

It's not FB or Apple, but I don't think I'd fit in there anyways!

      Pros

The culture was pretty relaxed when I worked at Quinstreet with a nice work life balance. Fun events and amazing holiday parties. The office layout is nice and functional.

      Cons

The company's vision was pretty poor and they missed several opportunities to stay competitive because they weren't willing to change their business model. The people at Quinstreet were among the best I've ever worked with, but unfortunately many of the best ones are no longer there.
