    Negative Outlook

I worked at Quinault Indian Nation full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Most of the "worker bees" are friendly people with a genuine concern for the community and their colleagues.

    Cons

The entire management structure is a complete mess. People in leadership positions are there because of who they are related to, or who they are friends with, rather than any real qualifications. Incompetent managers keep their positions by systematically lying to the leadership, while throwing anyone and everyone that they need to under the bus. None of the managers do any real work, but they will take credit for everything their subordinates do as if it were their own work. The work environment is depressing: you either look the other way and keep your head down and ignore all the terrible things you see being done, or risk being outcast, shunned, lied about, and systematically put down and shut up, if not being fired. The wages are barely a living wage, and there isn't any chance of promotion based on merits.

  3. "Great employer to work for! The area is just not able to support living wage jobs."
