    Pros

"Entrepreneur" feel to your job. Supported to pursue unique projects. If you have a good boss, you will excel.

    Cons

Boys club. No women in top management roles. Keeps buying companies to show revenue instead of earning it.

    Advice to Management

Get rid of managers that are in way over their heads, especially ones that keep losing clients. You have many.

    Pros

-lots of project variety but after awhile all the projects are the same
    -most people are very friendly
    -most managers allow WFH days

    Cons

-most of the people who work here are older and that creates a different dynamic than other consulting firms
-bonus targets are low and go through the same deductions as your normal salary

    Advice to Management

    -offer bottom up feedback
    -increase bonus targets

I worked at QuintilesIMS part-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Great people, great benefits, interesting work

    Cons

Lots of politics and bureaucracy, saw far too many people step on others to get ahead. Business development folks far too concerned with revenue and will sell at all cost, at the expense of client satisfaction and project success. Saw many great long time IMSers be squeezed out in favor of new hot shot sales people who don't play fair.

    Advice to Management

Provide incentives to sales around profitability of projects and not just revenue. Promote those who have worked hard for years and really know the business, not the new hot shot who can play the game. Provide more focus on career development. I was a high performing, high potential employee who left because I could not stand the politics and did not see any future career path there that was exciting to me.

I have been working at QuintilesIMS full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Telecommute flexibility; great people in lower and middle management; biggest data provider in pharma space

    Cons

Senior management out of touch with employees. More of a "cog in a wheel" feel these days. Salary increases happen when you leave and come back rather than staying with the company.

    Advice to Management

Pay your loyal and well trained employees. Bring back more team building social functions as had in the past to build morale across so many mergers

I have been working at QuintilesIMS (More than a year)

    Pros

Very good client perception, smart colleagues. Doing well as a company with all the acquisitions and mergers. Exciting product lines coming up

    Cons

Too large an organisation, currently integration problems, not exactly a lean organisation and hence job security is lower. Can do with better IT organization
