I have been working at QuintilesIMS full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Tons of flexibility in work hours including work from home. Decent pay and benefits as well.

    Cons

Large company so not as tight knit as some might like. You probably won't be best friends with your coworker but almost everyone seems to get along great so the work environment is productive and professional.

    Advice to Management

Work harder to keep good talent from leaving

I worked at QuintilesIMS full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    Good benefits
    Nice facilities
    Competitive pay
    Global
    Flexible remote opportunities

    Cons

    Treat people like numbers
    Don't empower employees
    Micromanage
    Very political environment
Excellent and highly regarded scientific experts are leaving in waves
    No work life balance
Play favorites with promotions and growth

    Advice to Management

This is for the "new IMS led executives " - (not the Quintiles execs that remain) Treat everyone equally
Quit ruining what was a great Quintiles culture where people valued their commitment to helping patients, regardless of their role
Promote and appoint to leadership roles based on merit, not your preference

    I worked at QuintilesIMS full-time

    Pros

    Experience with various therapeutic indications

    Cons

Too big; definitely feel like a number at this monstrosity. Pay seemed lower here than at other CROs. There are better options out there than getting a job at Quintiles.

I worked at QuintilesIMS full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    - My teams and managers were fantastic. I know not everyone had the same experience but I only had 4 managers in my 10 years there and each one was considerate and approachable.
    - Lots of references and resources if you knew where to find them

    Cons

    -Pay was average
-Their growth outpaced their capabilities. I appreciated the company when I started, but felt that value of employees decreased as they continued to grow.
-Very difficult to advance or move into a new area within the company
    -Ever changing systems and processes

    Pros

Per diem, give you 30 a month for gym membership, pay for fitness classes while travelling, get your sign on the first day of employment

    Cons

Inexperienced managers, terrible resourcing, terriblely managed start up process, no boundaries with clients, cras who do their training program can have zero experience so comonitoring with people who have no clue what they are doing. Also- the worst sham of a health insurance policy oht there- highest deductible ever if you see an in network doctor even- only 1 CignaCare Preferred specialist in each city

    Advice to Management

Start from the ground up and re-make your company. You wont keep CRAs if you stay the way you are.
