    Pros

Coworkers are very intelligent, helpful and fun to work with. There were a lot of perks too; Food in the cafeteria, gym access and even time with a personal trainer and much more

    Cons

Not anything that will apply to everyone. However the open office approach is not for everyone, especially if you are easily distracted

    Advice to Management

I heard that there was new management since my times so I don't have a useful comment on this aspect. However, While I was there the management took an active role in the company and was very encouraging and friendly towards that staff.

    I worked at Quixey full-time

    Pros

Quixey has taken on a big problem with mobile search. There is a big market for their product and substantial revenue potential

    Cons

The product has been late to market and Google (among other competitors) have closed the product gap that Quixey hoped to fill

    Advice to Management

The company needs to land some big customers and prove the product's value in the marketplace. These customers have been too long in coming. The team needs confidence that the market cares about the product the company has been building for years.

I worked at Quixey full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Grand company picnic, lots of free food, hordes of t-shirts, insanely high compensation and a very very nice office build in the heart of mountain view

    Cons

If what you mean by Con is the same as I am thinking then Yes this company is DEFINITELY a 'con' for everyone who put their money into it. Otherwise, the biggest con of working here is that you would never be able to spin any positive story in future job interviews.

    Advice to Management

I would leave some advice for the management but what can one say to the truly incorrigible. If you want to do something good for Israel, cut a tuition check for all your friends in key management positions and send them to a community school. One, they would learn some actual science, math, and everything that makes someone a professional. Two, the experience of going to a community college will shove some much needed humility in their personalities. Although in preemptive defense of all community colleges everywhere, the humility is missing despite only ever going to UC Santa Cruz.

I have been working at Quixey full-time

    Pros

Some free food left, but everything had been cut. Good T-Shirt

    Cons

One would go far with a Jewish root. All the best engineers are gone, or will be gone shortly. The company is out of money. There is too much stress, and long meeting.

    Advice to Management

Not all key position had to be Jewish or Indian. Hire people that can perform, and value people that can deliver, or already deliver. Keep the product that make money, and cut the fat

    Pros

Free lunch and benefits. Good location - close to public transportation and Mountain View downtown.

    Cons

Nepotism - you have to be a personal friend of the founder to get anywhere.
The company is bloated (250+ employees) and low yearly revenue (<$25 million).
Too many executives and excess fat in people operations.
The company is in it’s 7th year, burnt $130 million of funding and zero major customers for their core product.

    Advice to Management

Exit while you still have some funding remaining.

I worked at Quixey full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Intelligent and enthusiastic coworkers.
    Solid learning opportunities.
    A lot of self management.
    Great location for commuters.

    Cons

    Lack of general management.
    Vision seems blurred.
Too much pivoting. Eventually going in circles.
Nepotism is real here, while its not terrible, its noticeable.

    Advice to Management

Cut the fat, do what you need to do, and make this company successful.

I have been working at Quixey full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

It is a good location and is a comfortable place to bring in a paycheck while looking for the next gig.

    Cons

Most of the good people have left.
Nearly everyone else have given up and are anxiously interviewing for new jobs.
Company is full of inexperienced friends of the founders and has burned through most of its cash.

    Advice to Management

Advice to the new CEO: fire the CTO and his entire product cabal and bring much needed new thinking to how to market the technology Quixey has built -- or sell the business.
Move quick -- while there are still engineers left in the building.
