    Pros

Meet different kinds of people, learn how to prepare food, how to organize and stock, cleanliness. Eat different types of sandwiches

    Cons

Depending on location and how many employees a store has, sometimes you dont get enough hours. A lot of work for not enough pay.

    Pros

The team atmosphere was great and expectations were clearly defined by management. It got pretty hectic during the rush hours (lunch time), but with a team members that were in sync with one another, the time passed by rather quickly.

    Cons

Since this is a franchise business, the store reflects ownership/management efforts. Regardless of how much management put into the success of the business, they were eventually at the mercy of corporate who seems to look out for their own bottom line at the expense of the franchisees.

    Advice to Management

Always be clear of what you expect of your employees.

I have been working at Quiznos full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

They have a great schedule for students that are in college. It's an easy job. Great company to work for, great people.

    Cons

It's a food service job so you don't really develope a lot of skills aside from customer service. And well you have to wash dishes.

    Advice to Management

Consistency. Quizno's changes their portion sizes, menu options, brands of food etc. way to much. It upsets the customer when they come in and the sandwich they are looking for is either not there or has been changed and doesn't taste the same.

I worked at Quiznos full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Everything was prep daily so it was fresh there wasn't a lot of employees so plenty of time to get to know each one and the regular customers knew me

    Cons

Not long after I was hired and promoted I found out that the place was closing it's doors they gave 3 days notice so I didn't get as much time there as I would have liked

    Advice to Management

If your planning on closing, then you should let your employees have notice and not give them a promotion the week before

The benefits and work/life balance at this company are make it manageable to work out. There are a lot of company happy hours, exercise benefits and group outings to keep things positive.

    Cons

Communication between managers and front-line staff, as well as interdepartmental communication and job security.

    Pros

Exceptional exotic taste toasted sub, savvy soup and flavorful fresh salad.

    Cons

The menu was altered too many times, lost its own identity and core customers. The worst part is trying to mimic Subway's operation who does not know about hot food.

    Advice to Management

Stay in the course. Keep your original and develop hot food within your core as like Quiznos Grill, add on snacks and desserts. Bring in less calorie menu. Upgrade technology, self-order monitor...Most important is to keep the right combination flavors and stop the free toppings that kill the crisp bread and screw up the flavor.

I worked at Quiznos (Less than a year)

    Pros

The restaurant had good food quality and nice menu selections. Employees received free drinks, an employee discount, and seldom rewarded with free food. I made some friends and got to know my bosses a little better.

    Cons

Although customers were rude at times, competition caused management to take stress out on the customers and employees (sometimes resulting in shouting matches and throwing insults). Management was indifferent towards new customers yet welcoming to regulars. Having different methods to completing the same job was not respected. Every aspect of the crew member's work was micromanaged even if the scrutinizing wasn't beneficial for the business. Management used different prices and meat amounts for sandwiches than what was recommended by the company manual. Management took morning shifts away from crew members, so I was only able to work 5-10 hours per week (15 if I was lucky). Also, employees only being able to go to sites like this to comment on Quiznos restaurants is a con.

    Pros

Helped pay my expenses during college, like the title "sandwich artist". Good first job experience.

    Cons

Other sandwich shops are more popular, so a lot of the time it was standing around cleaning after all prep work was done.

    Pros

It's a chill job while you're in school.

    Cons

I personally don't like getting off at 9:30pm

    Advice to Management

There should be more than 2 people every now and then other than lunch time
