I worked at Quiznos (More than a year)

    Pros

The latitude to pitch create solutions to complex problems

    Cons

C-level seemed to have no idea why the company was doing well and no idea how to fix it. A history of massive layoffs has dampened morale.

    Advice to Management

more training for franchisees, a more discriminate process for who they allow to buy a franchise

    Pros

The majority of the staff was friendly and helpful. They made it relatively easy to pick things up and get acclimated to the job. There is a good system with policies in place to keep things running smoothly even when it gets crazy.

    Cons

Shifts can be short. For example, on multiple occasions I would be called in for a 3 hour shift which barely worth the gas to get there. The management system was pretty well set in place so there really wasn't much opportunity to move up within the store which is why I left.

    Advice to Management

Try to give longer shifts to lower level employees to keep moral up. Other than that keep doing what you guys are doing.

    Pros

Flexible hours, not too complicated. I worked at a university so it was always busy, they scheduled around our class times.

    Cons

Management was obsessed with corporate structure even when it didn't make sense for how many customers we had. You only get paid minimum wage.

    Advice to Management

Talk to corporate about tailoring some of the policies so we could move through the line of customers faster and the line is always out the door.

I worked at Quiznos part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

It was fun meeting new people everyday and creating a perfect sandwich for them. I also enjoyed the food, which was a nice bonus.

    Cons

Sometimes my hard work was not noticed by the management. I once stayed late in the night to help fix an issue and I wasn't even thanked, whereas my coworker was treated to a gift card.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the good work

I have been working at Quiznos full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I started this job when I was 16 and have been here for 3 years. People come and go, but only if they don't have good work ethic. If you love to work and feel good when things are done right this job is for you. People very of friendliness because that's how life works. Usually they are also owned separately by different individuals. If you love to make people happy with the way you can learn fast, clean well, and listen to your supervisors, try Quiznos out. Very good starter job as well.

    Cons

The only challenge for me is that because they are separately owned, pay only goes so high. I am only able to make $8.60 without the company struggling to make profit. Which is why I recommend it for had working teens only. Corporate doesn't do much for advertising which is why I think we aren't as popular as Subway but that's their mistake and maybe one day they'll realize that.

    Advice to Management

The best advice for anyone who starts is to learn the sandwiches first. That's your top priority. Remember to let new people know that.

    Pros

None this probably the worst run company I have ever seen

    Cons

Senior Management has no idea how to turn this dying beast around. The employees that are still there in corporate cant find another job anywhere else. Bankruptcy didn't fix it and these idiots will continue to run it into the ground...

    Advice to Management

Private equity firms...stop the bleeding and shut the doors
