I have been working at Quorum Business Solutions, Inc. full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Quorum does a good job at giving you an opportunity to take on more responsibility with projects and develop your skills as a programmer and a consultant.

    Cons

They don't do a very good job with office culture. The weight of deadlines and development hours create an environment where you feel obligated to stay longer and work harder than expected.

They don't do a good job of encouraging office comaraderie.

    Advice to Management

Do more promotion of office culture. Encourage happy hours and team building events

I worked at Quorum Business Solutions, Inc. full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Great pay!
    You'll get a raise about every 6months
Other colleagues and middle management were great friends outside of work!

    Cons

They don't train you. You pretty much have to pick up the business and skills as you go. It's pretty much, sink or swim.

The company is a "as need" basis. They will put under-qualified people in roles they are not prepared for nor will they train you on them. They'll throw you to their clients and clients expect you to be knowledgeable and help answer questions but you really have to know Q employees who have been here awhile to help answer questions.

    Advice to Management

You guys are greedy and don't care about your clients or those below you. You guys play puppetmaster and just move pawns to get slaughtered by clients when they know nothing about the software nor oil & gas business.

    Pros

Huge opportunities for people that work hard and want to show off their skills.
Good compensation and overall benefits packages.

    Cons

Work is often technology focused and if an employee has an expectation that they won't have to do technical work, it isn't always a good fit.

    Cons

it can be easy to get more work than you can handle, travel schedules

    Advice to Management

There should be more camaraderie between those not on the same project team. Coming back to the office from a project is like walking into a new job with regards to the people around.

    Pros

    1. The majority of poeple you work with are very bright and excellent people
    2. There are a lot of growth opportunities

    Cons

Management is somewhat out of touch. Non technical employees are hired to do very technical work. This creates frustration for both the non technical employees and all other employees tasked with training

I have been working at Quorum Business Solutions, Inc. full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Quorum provides excellent software products to the energy industry including upstream, midstream, transportation, utility and wind energy. Low oil prices affects the upstream industry but the other industries are still thriving.

    Cons

There is no family atmosphere. Do your job and go home. Upper managment does not get out to meet subordinants.

    Advice to Management

Upper managment should be more visible.

    Positive Outlook

    Pros

You can learn a lot about the oil and gas accounting business, and also develop technical skills which can be useful for the future

    Cons

The pay is not as great as the amount of work given. Sometimes work can get overwhelming because you're thrown into things you're not familiar with - sink or swim

    Advice to Management

Need more technically skilled management who can assist with technical support/project issues. Managers seem to be overworked so they're unable to help others who could be in need of quick help for support/delivery

I worked at Quorum Business Solutions, Inc. full-time

    Pros

Quorum does a great job at gathering intelligent and motivated individuals. The people who work at the company are its strongest quality.

The work is engaging, challenging, and provides employees the ability to grow technically. The company provides opportunities (including client interaction, direct solution input, and project management) to young employees that typically are not given in the early stages at larger corporations.

    Cons

The company lacks continuity through their defined "verticals" which can make the experience at Quorum completely different for two employees starting at the same time.

Work weeks can be long depending on client demand.

    Advice to Management

Continue building on talented workforce and leading software.

Attempt to bring verticals together for both business decisions and social activities.
