I have been working at R.E. Michel Company full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Decent pay. Ok benefits. Opportunity to advance within the company. Paid hollidays

    Cons

Idk were to start. Coworkers who sit back and watch you struggle and try to blame everything on you. Major Lack of training for new employees and lack of communication. The computer system your expected to work with is well over 20 years old (as400/dos based programing). Your Always understaffed and over worked. You always get blamed for things out of your control. Turnover rate is awful.

    Advice to Management

Take more time to train new employees. 2 hours worth of powerpoints are not enough training. Listen to your employees frustrations and concerns and treat them like human beings not robots

I worked at R.E. Michel Company full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Clocking out to go home.

    Cons

You have to wear their ugly uniforms with your shirt tucked in, and it's mandatory. Overworked and underpaid.

    Advice to Management

If you enjoy being overworked and underpaid than R.E. Michel Company LLC is the right place for you. This company does not offer any bonuses, spiffs, or profit sharing. They might give raises every year. MIGHT. And if they do, it's below a buck (only a few cents). Managers try their best to do less work and push more work on the inside sales guys, warehouse guys, and drivers. When a branch is doing well only the manager gets a bonus. This is a good place to work for temporarily, until you find a better job. I wouldn't recommend working here permanently because it feels like a prison. Every employee who has been working here for plus years are miserable, and because of the low pay rate they tend to abuse their seniority. If you're under the position of managers, regional sales managers, and operations managers you will get treated like a lowclass minority, it doesn't matter how long you've been with the company. If you decide to apply here, pick the highest pay rate you can think of. NOTE: They do not give good raises. If you decide to quit, do not give them two weeks notice, just plan your last day and quit because they will terminate you if you plan on quitting to go work for another competitor. As a former employee I've witness a branch doing well on sales for the month and instead on giving the employees a raise or a bonus, the owner decides to buy the branch lunch for a day. Some employees were so excited to get lunch it's ridiculous. I rather be compensated. Read the other reviews and do your research if you were to apply here. Goodluck to you.

I worked at R.E. Michel Company (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Great company to start in the HVAC field. As long as you do you job, you will have no issues here. You will never have to worry about getting laid off, if business gets slow.

    Cons

Only issue here, is the pay. Very hard to get more then $1.00 or more, an hour raise. Company will say they are not making money, and makes plenty.

    Advice to Management

Take care of your veteran employees, money wise.

The management was great and a definite pleasure to work with.

    Cons

The pay wasn't that great so that's is why I moved on to another position.

I worked at R.E. Michel Company full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The branch manager was the only reason that I worked for RE Michel.

    Cons

You work hard every day including every other Saturday and the company could care less. The pay scale is so low for the work expected that I wouldnot recommend this company if it was the last company. RE Michel only cares about their wallet and not yours. Worst company ever worked for period

    Advice to Management

Pay your employess and QUIT crying

    Pros

Work hours , local job location, HVAC is my lifetime career

    Cons

Benefits are to expensive and the plan is terrible. No dentist in network in a 40 mile radius. Company does not seem to care about it's employees . Top heavy with the cash!

    Advice to Management

Show more respect for the hard work being done for you.
