I have been working at R.F. Technologies full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Casual atmosphere, access to ceo, easy to implement new ideas, great staff, small company feel.

    Cons

Lack of clear vision , old style HR practices(no work from home, shared sick and vacation time, etc.), Long time employees not susptiable to change. Outdated internal technology that limits growth.

    Advice to Management

Think long and hard about a vision for the company. Set it, and share it every day. Company is losing ground to competitors. If you're not growing, you're done. Expand into other areas of the market while improving your core product. Try to better manage and prioritize projects, too much hopping around.

    Pros

I've been with RFT for over 20 years. RFT has a great family atmosphere, strong values and it's very rare to find a Founder/CEO that really cares about their employees.

    Cons

Nothing to add at this time

    Pros

I had friends there. That's it.

    Cons

Very demeaning work environment, constant politics. The owner is very narcissistic.

    Advice to Management

Shut it down, you are destroying people's lives.
You can not compete in this market.

    Pros

The company was generally pretty good to most of the employees with regards to both compensation and benefits and had a bit of a family atmosphere.

    Cons

The company was always changing upper management every couple of years and as a result was always changing the direction of the company which frustrates folks and causes them to leave.

I worked at R.F. Technologies full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

None. Sorry, but it is the TRUTH!

    Cons

They require you to be on call for a week 1-2 weeks out of the month for phone support and field rated work. However not compensated enough for hours worked. They only pay you per minute while your on the phone, your not paid for documenting the call, any research or follow up calls. You will receive calls all night long!!! I've had nights I took calls all night with out sleeping and was expected to still make it in at normal scheduled time.

Management does not go in the field other than to negotiate the sale and are extremely unexperienced with field rated work, codes, or how to do the actual job. Very Disappointing!!!

Due to Numerous law suits against company limited market on what they can sell or install leaving the competitors with a great upper hand.

Poor communication with management across the board.

    Belittles employees and over demanding.

Management tracks you constantly while on or off the clock. They track your phone, vehicle, read all text messages, even install aps on phone to be able to monitor all phone conversations on your cell phone. INSANE!!!

    Advice to Management

Time to Clean house!!! Terminate all management and start with a clean slate.
FIRE the current CEO and have owner take back the rings!!!

I worked at R.F. Technologies full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Good core of people in management and lead positions. Friendly co-workers. RfT attempts to encourage a professional business like attitude for employees. While allowing casual attire and atmosphere. Potential for growth in many areas. This company grew from a very small business to a thriving Model of what can be done with good people and determination. In only a couple yrs!

    Cons

Not an easy job. You are expected to perform your duties as described. A tremendous amount to learn for new employees, but it comes quick as the jobs can be fast paced. Pay scale is a bit scewed. It may be average or above for the locale, but it is low for the amount of knowledge and education most employees have. Technicians for Example deserve more. always have. But all around low for the non managerial, administrative staff. One of my few complaints.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the Good work, Push for change, You know what needs done, weather you'd like to admit it or not. Be careful out there. ;)
