    I worked at R/GA full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Paycheck, talented people, stability, well designed workspace

    Cons

Culture was insular. The leadership has very little "real world" experience outside of R/GA so they circle the wagons rather than have real conversations. A premium put on style, rather than substance.

    Advice to Management

Imagine a world without R/GA. Then imagine yourself.

    I have been working at R/GA full-time

    Pros

Executives are smart and nice. People are nice. Yoga classes during the day, new office.

    Cons

If you are looking to learn or grow there is a mentor program but everyone is super busy so you will have to do most of it on your own. You can't be shy you have to go out and just get it. Its a balancing act between manners and getting what you want.

    Advice to Management

    Challenge your younger talent

I have been working at R/GA full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Work culture is great, your managers/ mentors constantly check in with you and try to make sure you're happy with the work you're getting. Co-workers generally want to help you learn and grow as a professional, and they recognize you for your efforts.

    Cons

Often you will get get a lot of the same type of work, not a lot of diversity lately and it can get boring. The Group system limits you to the same clients over and over, and it's not easy to move around groups.

    Advice to Management

Be better at placing people in work that aligns to their career goals, rather than just being allocation decisions based on availability.

    I worked at R/GA full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

for XD, Production, and Copy it is a gold mine of opportunity and support. People are smart, creative, futurists. Vibe in the office is free, relaxed.

    Cons

PR is more valuable than morale. Production more valuable than anyone. Allocations are unrealistic, projects get scoped by people not necessarily aware of the time they require by various disciplines. Too much excitement around social platforms and utilities and not enough around brand building and how to tell the right story for the brand in the long run. Story here is entirely dead. Yep, I said it. Not the place to go to make a brand super culturally relevant. Most junior staff begin in talent pool, have no boss, can't get a decent review, no one sees their successes, can't land a spot on a group, and often sit without work. I advised lots of mentees on this and its the shame of it, they are the most excited to be there.

    Advice to Management

Top strategic leadership and BT leadership need to figure out who's job is whose and then figure out the kind of strategic work they want to be doing. The discipline is a little lost honestly.
