    Pros

    R. STAHL's products are unparalleled, the products are a strong suit. Great health and 401k benefits. New, capable CE0.

    Cons

Very tough to get promoted and build a career path. For the most part, management is a good ole boy's club. The employees on staff are highly qualified, but not the given chance to advance. Pay: management is overpaid while those in other positions work their tail off and get paid poorly. Need to pay to keep up with cost of living and industry competitors.

    Advice to Management

Develop a career plan for your employees. Most people will not stay at an employer where they cannot grow their careers.

I worked at R Stahl full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great culture amongst staff, fantastic products for hazardous location applications, most employees are driven to do a great job and promote positive aspects of the company

    Cons

No career progression, especially with women moving to management roles. Zero confidentiality from HR department. Daily gossip is the norm above getting the job done. Confidential information divulged about former employees from executive management to people inside and outside of company.

    Advice to Management

Invest in time and training to identify and encourage professional growth and succession planning. Overhaul sales department especially Houston region. Stop all leaking of confidential employee information.

I worked at R Stahl full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great products and capabilities with offshore applications.

    Cons

Too many to list. Upper Management will lie right to your face. Do not trust anyone in HR! Many folks have gone elsewhere for jobs. One competitor has hired 8 of their best people. Another competitor has just opened a new shop that is taking a lot of business from Stahl.

    Advice to Management

Get new management and try to rebuild

I have been working at R Stahl full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Health, Dental and Vision are good. Paid time off starts off at 18 days plus 1 day for each year after. Up to a maximum of 25 days of paid time off (PTO).

    Cons

New management. Tied too heavily to Oil and Gas big projects. Shouldn't have Germany(headquarters) being able to dictate what should work in the USA.

    Advice to Management

No more layoffs. People are still wondering when the 4th layoff is coming. Be transparent in what the new management is doing that is different than last. .

I worked at R Stahl (More than a year)

    Pros

    - Landed an awsome new job due to incompetence of my mgt team
    - Made good friends and great snr eng mentorship
    - Good benefits

    Cons

    - Poor mgt with no people skillsets and no mgt training. Guided by politics and favortism
    - Grp jr leader had a drinking problem and was always late to work and set poor example and never followed company procedures. Was a joke. You r promoted not on professional skills but on the buddy buddy system.
    - Reward for hard work is losing job. You must enjoy kissing glutious maximus to keep ur job lol
    - No chance of growth due to grp politics with one mom-type subordinate that had everyone wrapped around her fingers ( i guess i would still maybe be there if i was just a little intimidated)
    - HR very biased and unprofessional. Held interviews with both employees and their leader in same room same time. Suicide meeting. How wrong is that?
    - Company somehow put alot of confidence in O&G leader's thoughts but is one reason company is falling apart. Decisions based off report not people.

    Advice to Management

Be more in touch with employees and make better judgement when laying people off and not let politics be an influence.
Poor leadership is main reason this company can't keep any good people.
Pretty bad when the captain amd crew of a sinking ship can't even swim.
