I worked at RBC full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Dynamic, interesting and challenging!
Unlimited Canadian securities institute courses paid by the company
    Great perks.
The best asset is really the group of people working there!

    Cons

Even though it isn’t your typical call-centre environment, you will still be bound by the metrics used in that industry (statistics measuring your performance). This made me feel like I was ushered to dish out a “fast-food” type of a product/service.

    Advice to Management

Management is very experienced and fair. One definitely lacking characteristic, however, would be the lacking of mentorship across the organization.

I worked at RBC full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Advice center is a decent environment for the first 18 months. Employees learn a lot about banking

    Cons

Becomes redundant and mundane after 18 months. Lots of people go on sick leave. Senior management was basically a little gang and promoted who best sucked up to them.

University degrees don't seem to be the medium to get promoted to management.

    Advice to Management

    Change your methods.

I have been working at RBC full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

So far the experience has been very good. I find RBC to be very generous towards its employees. I am satisfied.

    Cons

Couldnt see any con from now, especially if i compare it with my previous employer, other than the fact that some employees are a bit lame.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing a great job as the canadian top bank

I worked at RBC part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

This is the perfect part time job. There are 3 different shifts and the bosses are flexible. The pay is also decent with a great bonus at christmas time.

    Cons

If you are part time a con is that you absolutely have to work sundays and most holidays.

I have been working at RBC full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Upward mobility; will teach you everything from scratch; in-depth training; amazing benefits; corporate discounts; very friendly work environment; great corporate culture

Base salary could be higher, other than that, working in a call center can be tedious at times, and the odd hours can negatively impact your social life

    Advice to Management

    Keep doing what you’re doing
