    The culture is good. Work-Life balance is great. Laid-back Canadian lifestyle.

    Cons

    Smart people are few and most people are grandfathered in their jobs and have no motivation to do anything exciting. If you want a paycheck and go home, this is the place. Not many senior level positions to advance to.

    -Better pay than the bigger banks -Down to earth managers and directors (I was on a first name basis with the head of operations) -Casual atmosphere in Ops (got to wear jeans)

    Benefits are great, management seems helpful in growth and development.

    Cons

    The day-to-day work seems to go from 0 (extremely slow) to 100 (extremely busy) very quickly. It is not very consistent. The pay is not ideal.
