I have been working at RBC (Less than a year)

    Pros

Despite the traditionally high hours of investment banker, my employer made it enjoyable by ensuring I learn a lot, from time management to modeling skills.

    Cons

I have no complaints; the employer meets or leads industry standards in training, culture, and work, so there are no difficulties specific to the employer that should be fixed.

    Advice to Management

From my perspective, it appears that management has remained conservative yet thoughtful with its strategic outlook, so it is nice seeing the deliberate and steady strategy come to fruition.

I worked at RBC full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

This is an excellent company all around. The majority of people who worked at RBC had been with the firm for many years and were generally pretty satisfied with their job. After going to work elsewhere it was pretty evident why people did not want to leave. A part from job security, the company has great benefits and takes care of their employees.

    Cons

Its a huge company and unless your are Canadian, you will progress and grow within the firm, but the top jobs are usually for Canadian nationals.

    Advice to Management

Keep employees motivated, not necessarily with monetary compensation. Sometimes people just wish to be recognized.

    -Open environment

    Cons

    -Pay not competitive for technology

-Treat tech workers like they mean something to the bank. Although it is a bank, a lot of the tech infrastructure helps run the business and this should be acknowledged
