I have been working at RCI full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

A nice work environment with a relatively good insurance plan and extra perks such as free resort stays a few times a year, and a cafe and gym in the workplace along with opportunities for bonuses and growth.

    Cons

Very strict attendance policy based on an overly complicated points-based system, not flexible with schedules

    Advice to Management

Get rid of a points based attendance system or allow more flexibility in scheduling and vto days.

    I worked at RCI full-time

    Pros

Decent pay, decent benefits, friendly culture, LGBTQ friendly

    Cons

A shrinking industry, too many competitors. Frequent reorganizations mean your job is never safe. One can be promoted one week and unemployed the next week. Quarterly shift bids mean frequent changes in working hours. Difficult to get time off. Many departments expect 50-55 hours per week, more in IT.

    Pros

what was great about rci is the fact that they give you your PTO and sick time all up front and the pay

    Cons

the company is slowly falling apart. Majority of the customers hate RCI b/c there is really no reason in 2017 to have or trade timeshares

    Advice to Management

never had much of an issue with management

I have been working at RCI full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I'm going to go over the run downs:

The job is simple, that's great.
If you stick with it long enough(6 months to the date you were hired) you will be able to go on trips but probably not the places you want.
    Diversity
    Medical and Dental Benefits.

    Cons

    PAY ATTENTION:
I am going to give the BIGGEST rundown of working for this company. Remember it is a TELEMARKETING company.

From the beginning after easily getting the job on the first date of your training tell them the days you want off using your PTO. Because if you don't, you may not have any days to use PTO. You can not pick and choose what dates, soon enough you will find yourself with 10 days PTO and you can't get it scheduled anywhere. For example, if you want to use the free trip you get well you need a full week of PTO.

TELL THEM ON THE FIRST DAY OR I GUARANTEE YOU WONT GET ANY!!!

Next, Training is basic and easy. No worries you have 4 exams you need to pass on how to use the systems, as long as you know the basic of computers you are okay.

When you get on the floor:
I feel a lot of the time like this is a SCAM company. Their policies are so farfetched. They make so much money off of us that it's ridiculous why our base pay is 10.21 plus the incentive if you make your goal which is then 12.76. And only if you make your goal, which is based of how many people you scam into getting things they don't need. You call people on the phone and most f the time they are pissed at you and blaming you. Or when they call in the company and they are pissed off at you.

Supervisors are essentially people who aren't good enough on the floor and go for supervisors because they get a higher base pay. People who really know their stuff stay on the floor because they make more money.

Also sick time, you only get 3 days so you better hope that nothing happens with your kids or family emergencies. Also, you get points to use for emergencies but you don't get paid when you use your points.

The HOURS ARE HORRIBLE. Kiss your social life goodbye because you will be working odd hours and won't have time to go out, cook, or whatever. You will start at 2:30 to 11pm on weekdays and 1-9pm on saturdays,

THEY LIE about if you get enough attendance points you will be able to choose your schedule. THAT IS A LIE. In my instance being in "FLEX" you dont pick your schedule at all. You only move up in your schedule when a new training class hits the floor moving you earlier.

THIS IS A LIFE SUCKING JOB, THIS IS A JOB THAT HAS YOU LIVING PAYCHECK TO PAYCHECK.

If you have a choice, just don't do it. I had no choice and still don't.

    Advice to Management

It's not advice to management, it's advice to RCI the company and policies. That's why so many people are leaving.

I have been working at RCI full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Fun atmosphere. Great benefits. Decent compensation

    Cons

Unrealistic, at times, overwhelming expectations. Limited growth opportunities. Redundant daily tasks.

    Advice to Management

Provide a better experience for guides and members, not simply compensating for lost revenue. Takes less money to retain then obtain members.

    Pros

Benefits are great from PTO, 401K to Health Insurance as well as many vacation perks.
Great training and a management team that is there to help you to succeed.
Very open and friendly work environment.
Free gym and cafe open throughout the week.

    Safe work environment.

    Cons

You will be on the phones and sitting in front of a computer 99% of your day.
The base pay is just enough and incentives aren't great for a sales job.
Strict scheduling that will change every few months.
Policies and guide lines seem to change often.
