    Pros

Working at RCS is great. The Senior Management team are engaged, passionate, and really care about pushing the company towards growth. The company has provided me with everything I need to be successful, even allowing me to participate in educational events outside of the office in order to build my professional skill set. The benefits are good, and the corporate office is beautiful!

    Cons

The middle management at this company is corrupt.

The RCS in Charlotte, NC is poorly managed.

The management team is rude and has created a hostile environment. Not only do they micromanage, but they also enforce that all of their female employees wear high heels!!!!
That is completely sexist and ridiculous.

Most of them are uneducated and are only in management because it's the only job they can fake well.

    Advice to Management

Learn to treat the people making you money with some respect and dignity.

I worked at RCS Corporation (More than a year)

    Pros

RCS pays on time. Nothing else.

    Cons

For this company, the clients are all that matters. If a school decides that you are not allowed to have your legally designated break, doesn't like the pens you use, complains because you put your lunch in the fridge, or any other silly thing, you are in the wrong. Office staff refuse to listen to ALT's side of any situation and seem to enjoy constantly reminding them that ANY complaint from ANYONE at ANY school means your contract will not be renewed.

    Advice to Management

Sell the business to a company that knows what it is doing.

I have been working at RCS Corporation full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Low expectations; Lots of vacation time; Company rents cars; Company helps find housing and assists with setting up bank accounts, etc. And they've always paid me on time, though I've heard the Tokyo ALTs hardly ever get paid on time. Also, most ALTs are only placed in one or two schools so it's not terribly busy. Staff is generally friendly.

    Cons

VERY low pay, about the lowest you can get of any ALT company. Their highest pay for ALTs is pretty much the minimum of other companies. And if that wasn't enough, they slash your pay during the summer, making it nearly impossible to live off of this wage, especially if you have student debt like me. Staff is mostly friendly but you have to continously bother them if you want them to get anything done, get any questions answered, etc. They also will place you very last minute, I was told to arrive in March and only taken to two schools in a whole month before they placed me finally just one day before I was supposed to start there. During this month I lived in the 'company dorm' which is really just the upstairs room at their office building. They also get really hesitant when you ask to take time off even though they don't pay you for time off. Very stingy.

    Advice to Management

Pay your ALTs enough that they can live. At least pay them during the summer, or pay for the transportation.
