  1. "Good company"

I worked at RDA Corporation full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

You get to work on some interesting projects and you get a good amount of freedom to focus on client aspects when you're a consultant embedded at a client site.

    Cons

Sometimes you get put onto a client which keeps you isolated from everyone else in the company. Gatherings of local resources used to keep the feeling of being part of a group, but when the gatherings aren't there, you feel like you're stuck on a deserted island.

I worked at RDA Corporation full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Flexible PTO, relaxed work environment, challenging and interesting work, good company culture, paid overtime, fantastic work/life balance. Highly recommended especially for entry-level Software Developers looking for their first full-time experience.

    Cons

No 401k match, potential to get stuck with a client you don't like, sometimes given important tasks that you may have no experience in without upper-level guidance

    Advice to Management

More training before on-boarding new employees onto project, stricter adherence to unified approaches to development so the project looks as though it was completed by one developer instead of a mix-match of different styles, standardized approach to development across different projects so consistency is maintained across similar solutions.

I worked at RDA Corporation full-time

    Pros

    Compensation
    Flexible schedule
    A truly entry-level opportunity

    Cons

    Poor communication
Busywork and bureaucracy with big clients
Hours are are poorly utilized and expectations are unclear
At least one project manager is extremely

    Advice to Management

Deal with the elephant-in-the-room of "down time" in the Dev Center, especially during billed hours. There is too much thumb-twiddling, and a feeling of taking money without providing any value in return. Give your young talent a chance to use their brains.

Pay attention to the support staff. The technical staff may be the bread winners but people who support them also contribute to their success.

I worked at RDA Corporation full-time

    Pros

Compensation package that can be above par. Great talented staff, very technically oriented. Microsoft centered, expertise on on-premise solution.

    Cons

A lot of managers. Microsoft focused, and weak in growth areas related to mobile, cloud and big data. Culture that is resistant to experimentation and change. Not a lot of room for growth.

    Advice to Management

Start hiring people that have experience in growth areas. That culture of preferring the status quo could be a problem that nip into any future growth.
