Pros
Learned a lot in many different areas of IT. Great way to learn support experience. Great way to learn from multiple companies how they do things and the pitfalls of those bad decisions and how to fix them.
Cons
Either you will make meager pay and work hourly. Or you will be paid more but you never ever stop. Great for workaholics. You will feel stress and a lot of it. You will have an inadequate DOC team and India team because the company wants to pay small wages. And if you are good enough you will get promoted to a team that is not at the front lines. While on call you will be called non-stop and you get nothing in return for being on-call.
