    I learned the importance of safety through OSHA guidelines and practices.

    Cons

    Upper management failed to inform subordinates of the plant shut down.

    Be honest to your subordinates.

    if you like a daily dose of misery you would love this sespool

    Advice to Management

    try managing a McDonalds, may be better suited for that.

    I worked at RG Steel full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Promised to keep the mill open and increase productivity.

    Cons

    Instead of focusing on how to improve our production they focused on issues where we had very few problems and The new (hired or brought in) by RG Steel managers did not know what they were doing.

    Advice to Management

    Too late - They shut down a Money Making Steel Mill they promised to improve. thousands lost good paying jobs and then the RG Steel Management tried to give themselves 20 million in bonus monies?

    There were no pros to speak of

    Cons

    They used business practices that destroyed the company; exactly what O'Malley wanted.

    There's no management left to advise.
