I have been working at RGIS part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Always get a chance to work at different stores that you may frequently shop. The schedule is not overbearing and it's very flexible.

    Cons

There are not enough hours in the work week to be scheduled for. The insurance is not great at all.

    Advice to Management

Look into getting a different health insurance carrier. More contracts for more business.

I have been working at RGIS full-time

    Pros

This company is wonderful! The management really wants their people to succeed. They will give additional training, encouragement, and incentives to get and retain employees. They foster an environment of friendliness and cooperation that makes going to work a pleasure. That management style filters down to the hourly employee level. All are willing to help the new hires to flourish. Also, this company promotes from within.

    Cons

    Not the most interesting work.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the good work

I have been working at RGIS full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Very flexible hours. Easy work. Higher pay than minimum.

    Cons

Disfuninal management. Your pay is completely dependent on other coworkers. Will get 2 hours training maybe. Random length of shifts anywhere from 3-20 hours shifts. Will work you with no break most days. It's your job to make sure the pay is correct.

I have been working at RGIS part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    The flexibility of working hours

    Cons

Few hours in store bc if after two hours you're on the red regardless of reason (i.e. if your equipment freezes, battery dies) you're sent home. APH goes down the moment you stop scanning regardless of reason. Lack of direction by store leaders, few employees take time to explain process and answer questions. Everyone else is too busy keeping their numbers high. New employees are required to "just know". No breaks given even after 7 hours unless if the area manager is at the store. Stores cancelled or times changed but employees are not informed of changes.

    Advice to Management

Train store leaders better to deal with other employees. Employees feel unappreciated and it shows in their work.

    Pros

you receive a company van, manage your own time

    Cons

no threshold on hours worked, no overtime pay when salaried, benefits are just ok, too much turnover

    Advice to Management

do not rely on just one person to do everything

I have been working at RGIS part-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Part time. Most of the time you work early in the AM so you are free to do whatever with the rest of your day.

    Cons

Part time. Not a dependable income, some weeks you're busy, some you are not. Pay.

    Advice to Management

Go back to the old pay system instead of this flat rate, per level idea. It is already unreliable income and now you made it so your rate of pay isn't even reliable. I think a normal pay system worked better because I felt you built a much better employee baseline. Especially in a job where the work is inconsistent.

I have been working at RGIS part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Pays more than most Part-times and offers almost immediate advancement. Easy to learn and very simple job.

    Cons

Can get demoted based on counting skill. Scheduling is often random hours due to most inventories being conducted during times when stores are closed.
