I worked at RGIS part-time for less than a year

    Pros

you can start early in the morning and finish by 12 noon or 1 pm and have the rest of the day to yourself. or you can work late night between 3-5 hours and do what you have to in the day. you get to travel and get paid for that as well.

    Cons

sometimes the early morning or the late night can be hard for people.

    Advice to Management

    Advice to Management

give your workers more hours these hours 10 hours a week on average cannot support a career or life

I worked at RGIS part-time for more than a year

    Pros

SUPER easy to get hired. No drug test required. Good as a part time job for students (who don't have classes in the morning, you could be working overnight till 5am some days, or some weeks jobs only start early in the AM only) or people who want pocket money.

    Cons

Scheduling is either basically overnight or early morning. Not good for people who need a consistent paycheck, you could be scheduled only 5 hours or 40 hours a week. Very little training, they'll throw you into jobs and supervisors treat you like you're an idiot when you don't know everything right away,. Job isn't rocket science but they have HIGH expectations. Your management and supervisors are angry... stressed-out uneducated snaggletoothed morons. Probably former meth addicts or jailbirds. They'd be better off at McDonalds or Walmart.

    Advice to Management

Actually bother to TRAIN employees before throwing them into 8-hour big box store ordeals. Quit treating your hourly supervisors like garbage, they only take it out on lower level employees who end up quitting. Do you want a high turnover? Because that's how you get high turnover. Please bother to explain to new employees what the heck is going on; apparently there's a lot of super-duper secret things going on... that employees are expected to know. For example, there are levels of inventory takers. I didn't know that until my last day, no one mentioned it to me except in passing.

I worked at RGIS part-time for more than a year

    Pros

This is an easy job for a part-time position. Not too difficult to move up but this can be based also on the area or state you work in. Small stores can take 2 or 3 hours and larger stores can take 5 or 6 hours. You will rarely put in an eight hour day on one store. Transportation is provided if the store is far away but many locations you will have to drive to . You can make more money as a driver taking... others to stores when the store is far away and they need drivers. You get paid from the time you start driving not from the time work starts in the store. You also get paid for milage when you are a driver.

    Cons

    1. You will only be part-time. Even most managers are part-time. You may or may not get a good amount of hours. This is strictly based on when you can work and how many hours you can work. If you have open availability AND you show up -on time- to your job sites you will get a lot more hours than those who don't. 2. You get raises based on your speed and accuracy. There are tricks to help improve that -especially... when keying quantity - and unfortunately they don't really teach them to you. Talk to people who have been doing it for quite some time and they will teach you some of these tricks. 3. You will either work really early mornings, like 5am or late at night starting at around 6pm to 9pm until you finish the store. 4. You will drive to some locations only to work 2 or 3 hours. If you live close to the office like I did, then the stores are usually close by. If you don't and live in another city then you could drive for 45min to work for 2 hrs. So take that into consideration. You do not get paid for milage or the drive time to get there.

I have been working at RGIS part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Easy work Decent pay (relatively. $12/hr starting in RI/Eastern CT area) Easy to get hired Great boss and management in my area (YMMV)

    Cons

Hours are crazy (late at night, early mornings -- getting up at 4am or earlier sometimes.) Sometimes both on the same day. Inconsistent number of hours. It's easy to get hired, which also means you'll be working with some bottom-of-the-barrel people

I worked at RGIS for more than 3 years

    Pros

When it was busy, it was a great place to work because you get to interact with the customers while doing the inventory.

    Cons

The downside would be the early morning wake ups and going to meet sites very early to start the day.

    Advice to Management

To place people preferably where they live to work.

I worked at RGIS part-time for less than a year

    Pros

fast recruitment process, good for temporary/part time work. Very easy to find a position specially close to new year

    Cons

It gets difficult to work during winter season due to odd timings of the work as usually its done when the stores are closed, sometimes starting close to midnight till early morning
