    Pros

This is a global company that has a good footprint. You have opportunity to collaborate with a lot of folks and they are embedded in many of the top companies

    Cons

This company is known for their accounting temps, primarily. They lack ability in penetrating a market for technology. Their account execs do not understand the technology industry and struggle with cross selling.

    Advice to Management

Get new folks in who are technology account savvy. Jettison your dead weight. You are a fantastic company and have a ton of upside potential based on your market penetration. Good luck!

I worked at RGP (More than 3 years)

    Pros

You get an opportunity to work at a lot of different places, which gives you exposure and opportunities to network, and also provides an opportunity to take on new challenges. The company does try to work with you to find you work that fits in with your desired schedule and duration. I had an opportunity to work with several publicly traded companies and also a chance to work with smaller private companies, and even a couple of non-profits.

The pay and benefits was very good and I received regular pay increases.

This job is a great interim gig, as you gain lots of interviewing experience, with helpful feedback from RGP staff. You also get a lot of helpful feedback after completing an assignment.

RGP does a great job of morale building, with regular after-work gatherings for consultants to meet and get to know each other and staff (often with free food and open bar!).

    Cons

There is a higher degree of uncertainty with this sort of work. An assignment may be continued time and again, but there is always the chance that it won't be and that you'll be underemployed for a period. I was mostly employed constantly, with a new assignment waiting for me when as I finished one, but there were a couple of times where I wasn't as employed as I would have liked to have been.

If you are unable to maintain the necessary hourly average, you could lose certain benefits unexpectedly.

If you hate interviews, then you may not care for this job, as you interview a lot with potential clients.

There is limited opportunities for career advancement. Unless you were to move into the sales side of the business, there really is no path for advancement from consultant to upper management in the company.

    Advice to Management

I enjoyed working here, and overall I think it is a great company. The only thing I might suggest is that sometimes the sales team tries to oversell you -- for instance, as expert in a field where you might only be experienced. On the other hand, I was successful at every assignment I was given, even if I had to do a little on the job training to get up to speed, so perhaps that little push is a good thing and an opportunity to expand your horizons.

I worked at RGP as an intern (More than a year)

    Pros

The staff at the RGP corporate office are professional and friendly. I really enjoyed working with them. It was a good learning experience, and the wage was fair for an intern. Plenty of parking. Work/life balance was great.

    Cons

It's a bit of a cubicle farm, and I thought the location is bland. Not too many downsides to speak of. I left only because I realized it wasn't the right line of work for me.

    Advice to Management

Honestly I was very happy with the management. Keep doing what you're doing.
