I have been working at RGP full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

A wonderful company to work for. If you are experienced, good at what you do, and can handle clients like a consultant should, you will LOVE to work for RGP. You can be engaged on a project as long or as short as you like. And you choose whether you want an assignment or not - allowing you the work/life balance others dream for. Great group of people to work for and with!

    Cons

Need to stay engaged in order to receive benefits. So if you are good at what you do, make no mistake, the local office will find another engagement for you to work on. They are 100% incented to do so. If you are only average, this may not be the right place for you.

I worked at RGP for more than 3 years

    Pros

Pay consultants on time; try to find interesting projects which fit consultants skill sets

    Cons

Management very superficial and care more about the billable hours than employee well-being; sometimes many months between projects; benefits very limited and expensive; uncaring back office staff

    Advice to Management

Try to care more about your contractors who are bringing in the revenues. You throw them to the curb as soon as a project is done.

I have been working at RGP full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Flexibility, salary, development, paid vacation, health benefits, retirement plan, ability to learn and work in numerous industries. The list of pros is endless. Working with RGP staff, Client Directors, Career Champions, support staff are all fantastic.

    Cons

I cannot think of one con. I left a 24 year solid career as a full-time executive level HR professional to become a member of RGP's consulting team over a year ago. It was truly the best career move I ever made. I wish I had done it years ago.

    Advice to Management

Keep up with what you are doing, and thank you for the opportunity to grow and work on interesting and rewarding projects.

I have been working at RGP for more than 10 years

    Pros

A very talented management team geared to providing their clients absolute value for the investment. International in scope. Centralized in consulting staff and regionally organized in sales.

    Cons

The massive reorganization from a regionally oriented consulting organization to a centralized organization is leaving the consultants at the mercy of a remotely situated management team to which the consultants rarely communicate.

    Advice to Management

Allow much more regional interrelationship with clients and consultants and management. Regional offices functioning primarily as sales offices leaves the field consultant very much alone.
