I have been working at RISI full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Excellent work-life balance, relaxed corporate culture, and flexibility to grow independently. Non-monetary benefits are abundant, including vacation time. Its a small office, and fellow employees are welcoming and helpful to new hires. Long term employees are valued.

    Cons

Limited opportunities to grow in the short term within such a specialized and relatively small field. Salaries could be more competitive considering the office's close proximity to Boston. Dated technology. Salary structure is unclear.

    Advice to Management

Make investments in technology upgrades more of a priority. Consider shifting some non-monetary benefits into salary increases.

"Decent place for starting out. Would not recommend it for the long-term."

    I worked at RISI

    Pros

The benefits are pretty good- full medical, dental, 401(k), and tuition reimbursement. Most of the employees are pleasant and really want to do a good job.

    Cons

Severe lack of communication that includes reporting to two bosses. Office morale was rather low.

    Advice to Management

If you have to keep hiring for the same position every two years and the employees have the same issues, then something needs to change. At that point, it's a management issue.

  3. "Nice job for starters, but really bad for career development and salary too low."

I worked at RISI full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Supportive and positive colleagues, provide ethical jobs environment, standard social security and insurance.

    Cons

outdated price salary range for current employee. New employees always get better salary range even though they are new and need to be trained.

    Advice to Management

As a growing company, I think it's better to always review employee's salary periodically to always be in market , not talking about the standard salary provided by government, but the real deal that other company with similar position can offer, Otherwise employees turn over will be remain really high.
