    Pros

    Great benefits including free undergrad and graduate tuition. Shared governance groups including Staff Council, Faculty Senate and Student Government. Wonderful athletic and fitness facilities. Great food.

    Cons

    Winters can be long and grey.

    I started working as a GSW for my professor last September.The salary is decent.I got a chance to learn many things and add value to my skill set.

    Can be too laid back at times; occasional lack of direction
    Sometimes too constrained my requirements

    Advice to Management

    Trust you co-ops, while also taking a larger role in the software development process. Managers who don't know anything about the codebase doesn't usually end well
