I worked at RMF Engineering full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

employees are nice people and projects are pretty interesting

    Cons

Lots of overtime with very very little compensation. Lots of TALK about improving culture but no action. The People are not the assets and are "replaceable", everything is about profit for the division manager. Lots of turnover and false "opportunity". mechanical team is divided with poor/no leadership.

    Advice to Management

    practice what you preach

I worked at RMF Engineering full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Fun Atmosphere Interesting Projects Great Colleagues

    Cons

LONG HOURS There was a serious overtime culture. Bonuses were based on overtime, so beware. If you don't have a family, and you don't mind working 50-60 hours a week, then this is your place. Management is the biggest downfall. The division manager doesn't really seem to care about the employee as much as making partner and his own ambition. Will tell you one thing, then do the opposite.

    Advice to Management

Upper management was great, just the division management suffered. Be true to your word, and actually advocate for your subordinates.

I have been working at RMF Engineering full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

RMF has the resources of a large company, but the small community feel. They value each employee as a person and an investment. They understand work/life balance. They pay for regular employee social events, a holiday party and family crab feast in the summer. RMF invests in employee training and education. The benefits are great! Upper management is very accessible and active in everyday activities.

    Cons

I have only had positive experiences at RMF.

    Negative Outlook

I have been working at RMF Engineering full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Most of the people in the Baltimore office are nice.

    Cons

RMF knows how to make money, and it is turning this place into an engineering mill. They often get inexperienced/cheap labor on salary and work them +50 hours, churning out designs once a week.

    Advice to Management

I know you read these reviews, as all the 4+ stars are from management/marketing (ie four reviews in one day) that are geared to raising the company average. Why not take advice and try to improve the work conditions instead of trying to spam Glassdoor
