I have been working at RMS Computer as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Very laid back.
    Fairly easy work.

    Cons

    $15/hr is below market pay.
Having a car is mandatory in order to transport assets to and from locations.
They send you to new locations every week so you don't ever have a steady commute time.
All your appointments in a day might be spread over a 15-mile radius.
    Training is abysmal at best.
People being fired left and right; high turnover rate.
No direct deposit, they send checks through snail mail for some reason.
Haven't seen my manager in over a month since I was hired.

    Advice to Management

Don't make us beg for direct deposit .
Increase pay to at least a living standard.

    Pros

Quick hiring process, formal contract submittal and quick responses by the direct recruiter.

    Cons

Recruiter lied to me about the start date. Issued a contract that has passed the initial starting target date by over 1 week! No tentative schedule yet,no badge yet, no work info yet (poc), address or even telephone number. Only got the company email setup but its useless nobody to interact on regarding the project. LoL / been on standby posted since mid Aug. Might look elsewhere if no badge is received by next week or option 2 ,might file a complain to the Vice President and seek more money for the lost wages and for breach of contract.
    ;)

    Advice to Management

Before issuing contracts get all required elements in order. Be truthful

    Pros

The interview process was very quick and easy; team was great; flexible hours; casual work environment; the work location was great right in midtown.

    Cons

The office environment got really loud and hostile daily; everyone kept screaming and yelling for no reason; there was no direct deposit system; no growth potential or a structure work environment.

    Advice to Management

To just keep things more professional and if you have to fight with someone, do it behind closed doors quietly and professionally.

I have been working at RMS Computer as a contractor (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Local leadership is good, if you need to take time off, no questions are asked. Some location flexibility.

    Cons

Very limited responsibilities, and no opportunities for advancement. Positions are not challenging, and do not lead to better positions.

    Advice to Management

Give us better opportunities, skills are being wasted. CAN employees who aren't following processes, regardless of who they know!

I have been working at RMS Computer as a contractor (More than 5 years)

    Pros

This is a small company, numbering about 200. Subsequently, I never felt like they wanted to micro manage my employment.

    Cons

Due to the fact that this is a small company, numbering about 200, they were unable to offer Health Care benefits that are affordable.

    Pros

I did not experience any pros while working for this agency

    Cons

Contract agency, low pay, no PTO or paid holidays, unfriendly to those needing work-life balance, unaffordable health coverage.

    Advice to Management

Grow a backbone and know when to back up your employees. Make an effort to meet face to face with your employees within a month of hire date; even if they are regionally distant. Pay a wage to employees that allows them to live and afford healthcare coverage.

I worked at RMS Computer full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Quick hiring process. I knew less than one hour after the interview that I got the job.

    Cons

Recruiter's original job description was different than what I was offered at the interview. Employees and supervisors were too nervous about processes.

    Advice to Management

Better communication and one on one meeting with employees to find out about their difficulties at the job and possible mitigation of issues.

    Pros

    Having a job.
Recruiters move fairly quick during the hiring process.
    Prompt response to emals.
Contractor has own email account for company correspondence.

    Cons

Recruiter not well informed about assignment's responsibilities or competencies.
Payday is when you get your check in the mail not on actual payday.
    No direct-deposit!
Full-time, no benefits, not even the choice to get benefits.

    Advice to Management

Get with the times, use Direct-Deposit, after all, you are an IT Recruiter! If you must mail checks through postal service, send them so they arrive on payday, not a few days later.
