Moving from being the HRMS administrator to being a consultant on an implementation team was not an easy decision. ROI has done a great job of making feel like part of a team. My coworkers are generous with their time and knowledge. Leadership does a great job communicating and scheduling enough meetings, so we always feel connected and part of a bigger team. No feelings of isolation here. ROI also has an award winning and very well deserved reputation for giving high level customer service. It is all about doing the job right not just billing hours for the sake of billing hours. I'm proud to say I work for ROI.

Cons

If you are not self-motivated working 100% remotely as a consultant can be challenging. Being a self-directed learner is also critical. Although the tools are available to you, you have to take the initiative to access them. These are not really cons just something to be aware of when you decide if 100% remote is for you.

Pros

ROI is an organization, that is built and conducts business collectively as a team and all input is welcome!!! As a team member you never feel that you aren't able to share your opinion or raise your hand if you need assistance. There are subject matter experts, who are open and willing to assist with bringing you up to speed on experiences you may not be fully versed in.

You cannot beat working from home and this organization seems to care about its workforce. I have been pleased with my decision to be a part of it.

My only cons are maybe they up the allowance for technology equipment. As a BYOD organization, a slight increase would help. Also, some better rates on health insurance would help. Other than that...I honestly cannot complain.

A truly great place to work. Supportive team and flexibility to maintain a reasonable work/life balance. Many opportunities to learn new skills and share with others.

Ready for clients to encourage more travel. Working from home is great, but a balance of some travel would be welcome.

ROI lets me come to work and do what I do best. They are fully supportive and provide the training I need. ROI is comprised of people that are experienced and excel at their craft. I like not having to go into an office everyday.

There is no home office (if you're one of the people that needs that kind of a thing).

Excellent work-life balance with top-notch benefits. The management team really cares about their employees. You may have to work late sometimes when the company needs you to, but that is balanced with the ability to work from home, a fair trade.

Even though we work remotely, we collaborate with our ROI team and can expect quick response and sometimes even jump on a call to assist with insuring exceptional deliverables and successful implementations. Company-wide meetings ensure that we are current with corporate initiatives.

Working remotely can have Work-Life Balance issues. Time management has to be constantly worked on to ensure that time taken outside of work commitments.
