I worked at RPS, Inc. (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Overall friendly employees and great HR. Very flexible company that offers a good work/life balance.

    Cons

Management does not listen to the concerns of the employees or care about bullying. Some management wanted me to compromise my values and standards. I was unwilling to do so and they continued to push. Salary and benefits are not competitive.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees concerns. Bullying employees is not a good strategy to successfully run a company.

I have been working at RPS, Inc. full-time

    Pros

Privately held company with good work life balance.

    Cons

Lack of leadership and lack of communication coming from senior leadership and is a good old boy's network. They had one female VP and they let her go. She was the only one who knew how to run a business.

    Advice to Management

Wake up and get in touch with reality. You have no concept of what it takes to win and retain business. Bullying customers and your employees is not long term strategy.

    Pros

Like that the company places you on a bench if your contract with pharma co ends so that you do not get laid off.

    Cons

Mgmt does not listen to the concerns of the employees. it seems as though the primary focus is meeting the needs of the client. Somewhere the employee's needs get tossed out the window. CRAs are far too busy and they expected to not only monitor but develop your territory as though we are in sales.

    Advice to Management

Be concerned with the needs of your employees. Not that your focus should not be on customer satisfaction as well. However take time to actually listen to your employees and then maybe retention would not be a problem.
