Miserable place to work

Pros

The only pro to working for this place is not being unemployed. Also, the 401k match was great until we were told that was going to be taken away.

Cons

I've been yelled at in front of the entire office for things that were managements fault and not mine. The managers are awful people who are all stuck in a high school mean girl mentality. The boss treats them like gods while the rest of us are poor peasants. Since starting to work here I've developed extreme anxiety and depression. Even my doctor is telling me I have to get out!!

As a small firm, we depend on the skills and dedication of our staff for our success. We encourage all team members to bring their concerns to management’s attention so that we can work together in creating an atmosphere where everyone is appreciated and respected.

Pros

Competitive pay (not worth it) Health benefits/401k Learning how to work under pressure and hostile situations. There are no other pros.

Cons

Management only care about themselves, they will make sure everyone is over loaded with work and then continue on gossiping in their offices. The owner seems to have no clue his is happening or she knows and doesn't care how they treat her employees. Most of the staff also sit around and gossip making every new person feel unwelcome. The training is a joke and you should never get comfortable doing the job you were hired for because you will be tossed around like a hacky sack. The turn over rate is unbearable and creates fear among the employees of being fired for any reason. (The owner is not afraid to fire someone in front of the entire office)

From top to bottom, we are honored to have the best, most dedicated team members. In a high volume business such as ours, we frequently ask our team to assist on additional projects in order to prevent backlogs, and have received a great deal of positive feedback indicating how much they enjoy working on a wide range of tasks.

Pros

The pay is fairly decent for a small law firm

Cons

What a terrible place to work. Management and staff is very unhelpful and does not offer guidance to new (or old) employees. Expectations and duties are NOT clear. Staff is snobby and unhelpful. People working on school papers while others are working hard. Cannot have cell phone out AT ALL while at work (concern here is, what if there is an emergency at home? they wont care, you will be fired) Management yells at employees in front of whole office. Avoid this place like the plague. Much more reasonable and relaxed law firms to work at.
