I worked at RW&Co part-time for more than a year

    Pros

There is not one positive thing I can think of.

    Cons

Toxic work environment, upper management is a mess (disorganized and bad at communicating with the store employees), I can think of nothing redeemable about this job.

I worked at RW&Co full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Great discounts, competitive pay, you meet some nice people.

    Cons

Psychotic manager, compliant and complacent complacent upper management. Hostile, abusive, and manipulative behavior. Overtime hours expected without compensation, including for part timers. Micro-managed, condescending and occasionally threatening demeanor. Exceptional standards with little training. Rushed through most of the required reading and skipped over chunks entirely. Pressure to agree to 'in house rules' and told "that's just the way it is here". Was directed to do things I was uncomfortable with ethically more than once. Most of those around and under were miserable with their jobs with no hope of change, and had exit plans. Left within 6 months, and would never go back. Watched many great people leave, and could not leave fast enough myself. |The environment was toxic, and complaints were often shared with me from peers. Brought issues to higher level with little hope of change,

I have been working at RW&Co full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Good Benefits. Employee discount. Competitive salary. Flexible schedule. Supervisors and upper management gives us real support on a daily basis.

    Cons

A lot of operations regarding visual and new collection launching and most of them are last minute so you have to change the schedule for management and for part timers without extra hours for your week. Technological issues with the cash system and trafic sensors so helpdesk Departement takes forever to answer our call for those issues. Other then that it's an amazing company!

I worked at RW&Co full-time for less than a year

    Pros

The discount is great, 50% off all regular priced product and 70% off an item of the companies choosing each month. The work environment is almost always positive with great team work and opportunities to grow. Upper management like VP's and Presidents are always in stores and are a real presence which you don't see often in retail. It makes you feel valued. Overall it's a positive company in the way it treats their staff.

    Cons

Pay does not reflect the amount of work that is required of management on a daily basis, most companies pay more and have more realistic expectations for achieving bonuses. Bonuses are almost unachievable due to hours being a factor... The company says they are about work/life balance however some store managers take advantage and give management below them the less attractive hours. And they require you to work over 40 hrs with no compensation because it's "your choice" but in reality you have no choice but to stay and work more or certain things won't get done and then you are being questioned as to why. This company can definitely afford to be more generous with salaries. Huge gap between store managers and assistant managers, when the work is pretty much the same.

    Cons

short shifts (3-5 hours) but worked every day, pay, upper management, no room for growth, would rather hire than promote internally

I worked at RW&Co part-time for more than a year

    Pros

-Discount is decent for employees -Fairly flexible hours

    Cons

-Upper management will fire good store managers if unreasonable sales goals are not met (There were three store managers over the course of my year and a half there). This creates tension among employees, adding to a toxic work environment. -After a year of working for the Eaton's Centre location I asked for a job review, which never happened. As a company this is supposed to happen for every Reitman's employee on a yearly basis. (Hopefully if anything this practice has changed since I worked there) -Never received any form of raise the year and a half I worked for this store despite having some of the best sales.
