I worked at Rabobank America full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Rabobank has an amazing CEO, a true visionary that strategically thinks about the future of the organization and is highly focused on employee and customer satisfaction. The Retail Branch Network is also very fortunate to have such supportive leaders that carefully think through every step we take and the impact it has on our employees and customers.

There is a lot of interdependence and teamwork across various departments and business lines demonstrating a strong commitment to our mission and culture.

There are a lot of great people who are willing and committed to doing great things!

    Cons

Every organization including banks have opportunities, but putting things into perspective, all of the pros outweigh the cons. It is evident the bank is always working to improve.

    Advice to Management

Thanks for making Rabobank a great place to work!

I have been working at Rabobank America full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    - The CEO is amazing. He's very employee focused and has an open door policy.
    - The benefits are great! Generous vacation, low cost- high quality medical care, "dress for your day" dress code guidelines, tuition reimbursement, and more.
    - The company is new enough that employees can make a big impact on day to day policies.

    Cons

    - Some senior level managers operate like their team or department is in competition with other departments which can make for an environment that doesn't feel like a cohesive company where everyone is rooting for each other's success.

    Advice to Management

Encourage your employees to work out their differences on their own vs. fostering an environment of "tattletales".

    Pros

Room for growth. Endless opportunities that you normally wouldn't get. Great pay, and benefits are first class. Management truly does care and offers endless training and rewards to those who perform

    Cons

The structure with regard to our Utrecht/NY reporting lines. Its difficult for the local US office to get things done given this structure. Sometimes long hours are required in order to get the job done with the many requests coming from NY
