    Brand Recognition down in the South, Great Solutions for Small Businesses, Amazing HQ

    The employees in the Castle (their headquarters) are extremely lazy and unwilling to help, Management are only concerned with making things look good on the outside and tend to throw teams under the bus. The culture was portrayed as a fun and supportive family, but it turned out to be a very negative, political, unhelpful mess.     Support your teams, encourage hard work, teach and coach as much as you can so your team trusts you and is successful. The negativity within the management is despicable and needs to be changed

    Not the best company to be Sales, technology is overpriced and slightly behind our more affordable competitors.

    Great Benefits, A nice place to work, and you can move within the company basically anywhere

    Cons

    Horrible management, You are just a number there, I've seen them fire many in the passed few months for no reason (They make up some BS excuse) lack of leadership when you get there, they stick you on the floor for 2 weeks then send you to training for 2 weeks. You are basically lost and they like to play the "Politics" game, so if you rub someone the wrong way, expect to be assisted into a small room with an HR rep...

    Advice to Management

    Take care of your new employees immediately. There needs to be more communication and leadership as someone new comes in so they are able to hit the ground running after a month. The pay was fair, but below Industry Standard. The managers will lie like crazy and fire you without hesitation - I sure wont recommend Rackspace to anyone anymore. They have changed, and you are going to be losing very valuable employees...

    Pros

    Free drinks, and culture, it is a fun place to work overall even though we work hard. After 3 years here things seem to be changing every day, but there are enough senior people who are smart to keep the company grounded as much as possible. Fun young and creative people to work with.

    Cons

    Long hours and tough deadlines can make it tough, but a challenge is always good. It is becoming so big that is is harder to advance than it was before. As with any bad company there are some people who are hard to work with.

    Keep the culture as much as possible.

    It really depends on the department. Rackspace has done a good job of saving money by being tight in certain areas which unfortunately keep us from having some benefits that should be "standard" in todays job industry. No matching 401(k), no tuition reimbursement, NO QUOTA RELIEF FOR SALES REPS WHO WANT TO TAKE A VACATION. Sales at Rackspace is very tough. Sales anywhere is generally tough, but not like it is here.
