    Positive Outlook

I have been working at Radiant Logic full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    - Good pay and work/life balance
    - Nice office with kitchen and snacks
    - Pleasant and talented coworkers for the most part, an equal mix of longtime veteran employees and more recent hires
    - Mostly engineering driven, on top of latest tech trends (big data, cloud, machine learning)
    - Positive outlook: company has seen steady growth and increasing revenues.

    Cons

    - Employees can be laid off swiftly if they are not productive in a short time frame. Starting "slow" here is a recipe for disaster. Second chances are rarely given once management has decided you are not the right fit. Some of the past and recent reviews here can show you the high level of bitterness and hatred that result from those that are terminated.

    - A bit of a disconnect between two groups at the company: Dev/Support and Marketing/Sales.

    Advice to Management

Find a way to bridge the disconnect between the engineering teams and the marketing/sales team. I would also introduce a more systematic and formal employee review system. Give people frequent feedback about their performance so that they can get a chance to improve or fix things (once a year is not enough).

    - ambitious goals and big ideas for the future of Radiant's product line

    Cons

    - varying levels of motivation and workload among coworkers, with a few clearly putting in the bare minimum
    - a bit hit or miss on recent hires

    Advice to Management

    - keep employees motivated

I have been working at Radiant Logic full-time

    Pros

    good for freshers, may be?

    Cons

My comments echo with all Cons listed by the review published on Jan 29,2016.
      - Rude and Condescending Management
      - No Organizational structure
      - No Plans, Goals , skill development for employees
      - Management is traditional family owned, dont care for employees
      - most of the management is introverts
      - Employees are insulted. Demotivating comments thrown at randomly without reasoning
     - No workplace socializing

I guess someone wrote earlier that you are just trading your time off for money , thats right. The less you are here, the better off you are.

Oh my god, how are people working here from 6 years, 10 years etc. I am guessing they are partners or it doesn't make any sense.

No reason to be double-checking if my review is fake or true. YOU WILL KNOW on the first day or first week of employment.

    Advice to Management

No point in any advice, they are not going to fix anything here.

I have been working at Radiant Logic full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Stocked kitchen, new office. HR,Developers.Ceo who actually bears the weight of running the company.

    Cons

Being a family owned company. unskilled family talent are at the helm and are very unprofessional in terms of treating employees with insulting comments. High sense of superiority without a shred of talent among the management who only conduct rounds and pass disparaging comments . The company is fully reliant on VDS which has not seen much improvement while the competing companies are starting to run away with far superior products. The positive reviews here are surely from the company to put on a facade! If you have absolutely no other option i suggest you come here and work for a year and find a much better place which is what i have seen everybody do here. You have been forewarned.

    Advice to Management

Allow the developers much more say in the proceedings. Without them the company is nothing. Tell integrator's to learn software concepts. It is shocking what they think they get away with .Extremely untalented bunch. The accounts and sales team are best unmentioned. All they care about is happy hours and have absolutely no idea what the company does. Not much to be scared of when the family own the company i guess

I have been working at Radiant Logic full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

-Relaxed environment. Great work culture and people.
    -Great starting salary
-Location is clean, appealing, and entertaining.
-Work = learning. If you're into life-long learning and staying engaged, you'll love it
-Plenty of people to help you get integrated
    -Snacks

I feel like I've left college, and stepped foot into another academic setting- just without the impoverished college student life-style. The company's product has a lot of potential, with few competitors. There is a lot of room for growth and profit. Management is accommodating- employees with life-status changes are taken care of.

    Cons

-The commute. If you have to commute via the 101 it can be frustrating
    -Sitting down all day

I have been working at Radiant Logic full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good starting salary, working hours are a cakewalk compared to other tech companies I worked for (some people work 9 to 5 with a 2+ hour lunch break).
Diverse bunch of people, mostly friendly.
Mix of social events at work: baby showers, birthday/holiday parties and catering, Warriors' games, company softball team.
They are flexible with vacation time, and let you borrow vacation days if you don't have them yet.

    Cons

Feedback (positive and negative) about job performance is not given very often, and it is sometimes hard to get a sense of how satisfied or not they are with your work.
Company grows quickly and projects/plans are modified frequently. A project that seemed important a few months ago can quickly lose relevance. A new project might suddenly spring up and becomes your priority.
There is some resistance to change from management.

    Advice to Management

Provide more constant feedback and communication to employees about their performance and the standards you expect from them. As the company grows, make sure employees don't waste time on projects that are later cancelled/changed. This would keep employees motivated and increase morale.

I worked at Radiant Logic full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The HQ located in Novato Marin county is one of the prettiest places in California.
    Fully stocked kitchen,comparable compensation.

    Cons

This company is the result of running tech business like it were a family business.

Its not the culture of the company, but the lack of it has resulted in many employees quitting the jobs within a few months of joining.

Very high levels of unprofessional behavior shown at all levels.

They would openly talk about getting people fired when asked for a day or two of vacation.
Not going write the details but there was definitely behavior that would be classified as Hostile environment to work.

Career growth is NOT based on Merit but on the ability to agree with them at all costs.

    Advice to Management

Transparency between upper level management and employees would be a good place to start.

Start treating employees more like people and less like commodity.

Include Behavioral training for employees, so there is less abuse of power and there are some established rules to abide by.

I worked at Radiant Logic full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - Salaries are above average in nearly all departments, even for new hires with little experience.
    - Casual atmosphere: dress code, people are all pretty relaxed.
    - nice facilities, fully stocked kitchen.

    Cons

There is a strong sense of entitlement and a lack of discipline, especially in the Marketing department. For a startup company, this is surprising.

    A few examples of this:

    - people asking to work from home or calling in sick and going to Giants baseball games on these days.

    - complaints that the kitchen (which has fresh fruit/nuts/cookies you name it) doesn't stock enough organic products.

    - complaints that the company doesn't pay for the marketing department's happy hour tabs.

    - people using company time and money to develop their own business on the side.

    Advice to Management

Improve discipline and management in the Marketing department. Make sure that the emerging culture of entitlement stops, or more people will be discouraged. It is a shame because the company is innovative and has a strong product. Best of luck.

I have been working at Radiant Logic full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The salaries, especially for people out of school with thin resumes, are pretty great. The environment/attire is casual, and lunch is regularly over an hour in many departments.

For most departments, when the 8:30-5:30 (ish) ends, you get to leave work at work and it won't follow you home.

    Cons

There's absolutely no sense of investment in employees. Your time is a commodity being bought, with no interest for your life happiness or job satisfaction, let alone to any sense of community or camaraderie among employees.

The company seems to change business strategy every two weeks, so it doesn't feel like it's worth working hard on what's in front of you, because it won't be relevant in a few days.

No stock options, no employer contribution to retirement savings.

    Advice to Management

Either make work a great place for employees to be ($300/month on a happy hour tab won't bankrupt the company), or let us work from home. Try asking us what we'd like. You've hired a bunch of smart people, so trust them to be smart.

Pick a plan and stick to it for months - not days - at a time. Pick a standard for conduct and work quality and apply it fairly across employees.

Grant options and/or make retirement contributions.
