I have been working at RadioShack full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Pays well for the hours and and comes with a light workload. Plenty of opportunity to rise up to management positions. Highly recommended.

    Cons

The work isn't very challenging. Benefits are non existent. Co workers lack drive, ambition and aren't particularly bright. Most employees leave after a couple of years.

    Advice to Management

Offer better benefits. Hire more ambitious people who can create an atmosphere of inspiration and innovation. We can get rid of a lot of dead weight in middle management.

I worked at RadioShack full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I loved the incentives to working here, they motivated well and provided good bonuses to good sales numbers. And also opportunity to move up in ranks in the company, they promoted a good team atmosphere.

    Cons

I can't think of any cons at the moment, the only thing I did not like was having to work on Sundays periodically.

I worked at RadioShack (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Knowledge of the latest cell phone technology. Good pay, ok benefits. Flexible scheduling. Fun atmosphere. Small stores and light staff so you build relationships with customers in a one-on-one setting.

    Cons

Large corporation with way too many levels of management, as a result, information travels very slowly through the chain of command. Procedures and policies were constantly changing.

I have been working at RadioShack part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Flexible hours, manager works with schedule.

    Cons

The amount of sales is limited as most items are around 20 dollars or so. There is an enormous pressure to sell but no real incentive since commission is around 1% and and average sales for the day are $300 to $500 dollars. There are very few high ticket items.

    Advice to Management

Provide raise reviews and ensure store managers are not negative. Excessive problem with bad language, profanity, overall unpleasant manners.

    Pros

It was a fun environment. Great if you like commission. You were paid different amounts on different products.

    Cons

The hard part of it was the long hours and standing the whole time in such a small space
