I have been working at Radiometer America full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Great new president with employee focused attitude! Employees work together to achieve the company goals. Part of a large organization with a smaller company feel. Everyone is extremely supportive.

    Cons

The company needs more space in Brea. They need to push Beckman completely out of the building and take over all the space.

    Advice to Management

Keep focusing on employee satisfaction! Hire great people with a strong work ethic.

I worked at Radiometer America full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Autonomous work environment for field service. Good products and tech support

    Cons

Health benefits declined every year as per Danaher policy. Field service is stretched too thin to cover 24 hour contracts

    Advice to Management

I know it hurts but for the customer's sake - add head count in the field

    Cons

    Lots of cliche
    Little internal support
Management cared little for employee / customer / (not all - a few Mgrs are amazing...very few)
Poor QA and follow up support.
Poor understanding of internal/external needs...lots of platitudes and cheerleading.

I have been working at Radiometer America full-time

    Pros

Excellent work - life balance. Reponsibilities neatly spelled out, nothing extra is usually added. Middle management is working management. Excellent benefits, Salaries very competitive for job title.

    Cons

Upper Management is clueless as to what it really takes to work "in the trenches" and views everyone as replaceable without thought. Very political..."open door policy" will hit you in the butt Owned by danaher which means you could be sold, or merged at any time. Nearly impossible to move up without leaving the company due to extreme experience requirements. Has no culture, or values, bottom line is the almighty $$

I worked at Radiometer America full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Small company feel; technology driven, focused on being a market leader with high quality products and services.

I really enjoyed my time at Radiometer and would gladly work for them again. They offer an opportunity to work in the medical device industry and global exposure.

    Cons

Challenges with delivering on technology; Danaher Business System (DBS) can stifle the innovative prowess of this organization.

    Pros

Excellent interaction with motivated team players on the regional level. Middle management generates a comfortable work environment and provides guidance and mentoring necessary for success as a business unit.

    Cons

Corporate management could be more open in sharing information that effects field business units. Changes to equipment and software along with problems encountered is not always communicated or communicated promptly.

There is a tendency to handle personnel issues at a distance. They have a tendency to do things remotely and not try to put a human face on tough decisions.

    Advice to Management

Open and prompt communication of changes and problems encountered is a major need. You need to personalize your relationships with field personnel. Promotions, awards and recognition for jobs well done as well as admonishments and releases done at any level should be done face to face whenever possible.
