I worked at Radisson Hotel Group full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Wonderful team of professionals that can pull off anything!

    Cons

Just general hotel things & EC community makes it very clear how much better they are of people than you will ever be, They are happy to show off there privilege.

    Advice to Management

Advice to EC - get over yourself, your not perfect either. 5 stars is for the operations managers, not you. You get 2 star. No more.

I worked at Radisson Hotel Group full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Pay
    Free lunch
    Generally relaxed environment.

    Cons

    Catty, unsupportive teammates
No room for growth unless you fit into their "type"
Good employees get treated badly until they quit.

If you aren't a "Type A" personality, don't even bother.

    Advice to Management

Stop with the hierarchy, if you see employees treating someone badly... Do something about it. Nobody should go home crying.
Expectations should be based on reality, if you set a poor example what do you expect?
Give employees more time to learn their job.

I worked at Radisson Hotel Group part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good pay for the work, very relaxed environment, always a free meal at the end of the shift

    Cons

Inconsistent hours (as to be expected from job), no advancement opportunities, management not open to suggestions from lower workers, favoritism is big- if you don't get on the manager's good side it's rough

I worked at Radisson Hotel Group full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Room to move up within the company
Great benefits and discounts with the brand
Awesome health benefits (depending on the franchise owner)
    Family-like atmosphere with coworkers

Our GM was also the hotel owner and she was awesome and did whatever it took to keep the hotel running while letting us work independently without someone necks. If we met our monthly goals, she was sure to show us that she appreciated our hard work and I loved working for her.

    Cons

Some of the people from corporate are rather rude.

    Pros

    Nothing. This job was terrible.

    Cons

Unless you kiss up to manager you are treated like garbage. The sisters that work there get what they want.

    Advice to Management

    Be replaced

I worked at Radisson Hotel Group full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Some great people working here. Guests are generally very pleasant and polite.

    Cons

Unfortunately owners don't seem to care much about their employees nor their guests.

    Advice to Management

Management are hand-tied. All decisions made by owner who is very stingy.. Hard working employees are living in poverty because low salaries. Don't pay lunch time. Send them home before day is over and constantly ask to hurry up to do everything. No medical insurance offered. Being the only providers fir their families, some if them with a few kids will start cleaning in the morning without having breakfast. Restaurant at hotel will not do any employee discount fir crying all mighty. Let alone give them any free food. Promised employees a salary increase of 25 cents per hour (no increase in years) and that never happened either.
