    Pros

Discount on your own food. Fun environment. Fast paced

    Cons

Watching all the good chicken go to waste. If your not good at a task they will keep u on prep. You will not get out on time so expect to stay late

    Advice to Management

Care more about your employees they have lives too. Don't jUST use your strong employees train up the slackers

    Pros

    Crew love their job.
    Free meal.
    Community involvement.
    Flexible schedule.

Get to create bonds with employees, which has to be my most valued aspect.

    Cons

Company cares less and less for operators as they are solely focused on rapid expansion.

Corporate pushes policies, checklists, sign offs, validations, metrics, recaps, reviews, and new ideas incessantly until you feel like you can’t even run the restaurant because you have to initial 600 arbitrary documents that were created by some person behind a desk at corporate who doesent know what it takes to run an actual restaurant.

Company is consistently adding more and more arbitrary signoffs to the operators in never ending waves that tie your hands and make you feel like you are drowning under the weight of their incompetent procedures: such as a 17 line checklist for whether or not you turned on the fryers. Or my personal favorite: fill out this board to let the crew know how many cases of chicken they have to marinate at 8 am even though it will be several hours until you marinate and you have no clue how much you’ll have on hand by then.

Company simply is growing to be McDonald’s more and more every day. It’s a CEO’s dream to have hundreds of thousands of locations but an employees nightmare when they don’t give a crap about you anymore.

Company puts forth change in the middle of unprecedented sales growth and development, because if there is one thing you want to do when things are going great is change....

    Advice to Management

Stop the incessant expansion. Untie your operators hands and tell people where they stand.

I have been working at Raising Cane's full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

It's a fast and fun environment to be in, it would be better if you were paid more. But overall it's okay

    Cons

The base pay sucks and can't be opted for initial raise for 6 months and that's if the manager deems you fit.

I worked at Raising Cane's full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Have fun and Work hard ethic
PTO was great for being a long term employee.
    College benefits

    Cons

The culture changed in the last five years.
OMs are expected to work 10-12 hour days - My salary did not reflect this.
They pay internal applicants way lower than external and that has left morale extremely low.
    Work/Family life is non-existent due to being on-call 24/7.
In this role you will actually act as the GM because you end up doing the GMs workload and your own. The GM will use this and say it is part of your "IDP".

    Advice to Management

I worked at Canes for 8 years. I mentioned several issues to HR and never received the correct help. I would often bring issues to the Area Manager and things would often get swept under the rug. Todd & AJ... You are losing a ton of internal employees at all levels due to unequal payment in salaries, over worked employees and we are getting so far from the basics.

We need to go back to the basics and employees will grow and be happier.

I worked at Raising Cane's part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Direct Deposit. Optional Vision and Dental Insurance. Relationships with other crew that have evolved into friendships. Having holidays off and unpaid time off when requested.

    Cons

No paid time off if you are hired as part time even after 4 Years with the company. Watching managers come and go while you are overlooked for promotions and other opportunities. Managers get bonuses around Christmas time and the crew can’t even get PTO. No work/family balance if you work at night. Performance based job with little reward for employees except pizza, donuts, and 5 dollar gift cards.

    Advice to Management

Give your tenured employees more opportunities to grow before they find other places to work. Don’t take people for granted.
