I worked at Ralcorp Frozen Bakery Products as a contractor

    Pros

Very robust variety of equipment. Security is very thorough. The production personnel have a very thorough knowledge of operational sequences and will quickly inform maintenance of problems.

    Cons

At the College Park facility, the union from Sara Lee was carried over after the purchase. The management team was duplicitous when giving assignments.

    Advice to Management

Enforce the company culture and emphasize integrity. Keep relationships professional. The company invested heavily into capital goods, the human capital declined.

I have been working at Ralcorp Frozen Bakery Products full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I did like all my coworkers. You were able to take ownership of the part of the line you worked on, which was nice.

    Cons

Upper management did not listen to issues with the line, insisted things be done a certain way whether they were logical or not. Long hours, and short breaks for manual work.

There are many great people, who care about your achievements and work to help you grow. The management wants considers your success, a success for themselves. They give you many opportunities to demonstrate leadership, and work with teams from a variety of backgrounds and experiences.

    Cons

I wish that there were more formal training for the systems used in accounting and finance. Luckily I had very helpful superiors.

I worked at Ralcorp Frozen Bakery Products as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

I was able to gain work experience and used a little of my science training. I was encouraged to formulate my own cookie lines.

    Cons

I never felt like I was apart of the company. Not having health insurance on many occasions where very hazardous.

    Advice to Management

When someone works for you that has had all the training and willingness to work hard it would be in the company's best interest to keep them on board and work with them to place them in positions where they can help.
