I have been working at Raley's full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great hours, friendly staff, great flexibility with school. I would really recommend this job to anyone starting out working who wants a decent pay.

    Cons

Always on your feet always running around retrieving items and cleaning up messes. Picking up carts in the hot sun or freezing cold.

    I worked at Raley's full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Family work life balance, people are great, the owner is great with people and makes you feel so welcome and included. Mike cares about every person that works for his business, from the top to the bottom.

    Cons

Micromanagement of everybody, 90% of everybody works towards achieving the directors bonus of specific project completion. Salary increase of 1%-1.5% unless you are management and despite your performance, so why try any harder than people that do nothing.
Very poor salary in comparison to the same roles in other workplaces, this is why everyone leaves! I think the HR team researched median tech salaries in 1990.

    Advice to Management

Pay higher salaries to high performers! Bring in a youthful more energetic ethos, main office is so stagnant with people waiting for their retirement.
Stop giving directors 40%+ bonus's on the back of everyone else's work.
Retail is turning to technology, stop underpaying and un-rewarding your top technical talent or you will be finished very quickly.
New CEO - smile/talk to people other than just the EC or pretty females, gross!

    Pros

You meet amazing employees with different backgrounds.

    Cons

Managers are not the best. I worked at more than one location and they tend to promote pre-mature individuals who don't bring more to the company.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees and not just the managers, go out an speak to your departments and speak to your employees. They are the reason you run and sometimes they get overlooked. I left because I did not see growth or positive change within management.

    I worked at Raley's full-time

    Pros

Good money, good benefits. Has clean stores, room for promotions, on hand training, opens early, stays open late

    Cons

Shady bosses, they lie at every chance they get. Don't take any responsabity for there actions. All about the money, does not care about staffing hard workers, promotes the lazy and bad seeds. Managers don't do anything

    Advice to Management

Do your job, stop lying, stop telling people that you care when you don't. Pay people what you promise.

    Pros

As a courtesy clerk you experience the positive side of customer service.

    Cons

Immature management, and as a clerk you see the dark side of things. The wage increase is atrocious as a clerk.
